Mariah's special arrives December 4th

CAREY'S MAGICAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL  is coming to Apple TV + December 4th! The special finds the world faced with a holiday cheer crisis, which the North Pole knows only one person can solve: Santa’s great friend, Mariah Carey. Combining musical performances, dancing and animation, the show has Carey saving the day. The show will feature some of her celebrity friends and also a new song Oh, Santa with the show also getting a whole new soundtrack. Will it be Mariah's 20th Billboard Number One single? Paramount Network December 13th as their original movie written and directed by Jake Helgren. When Wyatt Burwall (Peter Porte) finally returns home for the holidays in an effort to convince his mother Deb (Andie MacDowell) to sell the family's Colorado ranch, a romance unexpectedly ignites between Wyatt and their dashing new ranch hand Heath Ramos (Juan Pablo Di Pace), who dreams of saving the beloved property and the ranch's magical Winter Wonderland attraction while reawakening the spirit of Christmas in Wyatt's lonely heart. December 12th in their original romantic comedy THE CHRISTMAS SETUP. It is a movie about a New York lawyer Hugo (Ben Lewis) who heads to Milwaukee with his best friend Madelyn (Ellen Wong) to spend the holidays with his mom Kate (Fran Drescher), who is also in charge of the local Christmas celebrations. Ever the matchmaker, Kate arranges for Hugo to run into Patrick (Ben's reallife partner Blake Lee), Hugo’s high school friend and secret crush, who has recently returned after a successful stint in Silicon Valley. As they enjoy the local holiday festivities together, Hugo and Patrick’s attraction to each other is undeniable and it looks as though Kate’s Santa-style matchmaking is a success. But as Hugo receives word of a big promotion requiring a move to London, he must decide what is most important to him.

She was announced for season 2 but Mariah Carey will now guest star in the third season of America's most watched series EMPIRE next month! She will not play herself, but a fictional pop star Kitty (I kid you not) who comes to record an explosive duet with Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett), helping him solve his creative crisis and reach a musical breakthrough. I hear she will be wearing a leotard in her scenes :) Taye Diggs will also guest star.

THEIR REIGN, THEIR RULES

The drama returns in Season Three, as the battle continues for the Soul of EMPIRE. Each member of the Lyon family must cope with the events that were set in motion in the Season Two finale. Lucious (Terrence Howard) pursues his music legacy with his streaming service, while also clashing with his half brother, Tariq (Morocco Omari), who is leading a federal task force investigating him. Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) aims to start over, in pursuit of her own happiness – a series of flashbacks reveal how Loretha Holloway became Cookie Lyon and how Cookie met Lucious. Meanwhile, the Lyon brothers – Andre, Jamal and Hakeem – all are determined to overcome the events of last season and move on, but the choices they face will become a battle for the soul of the Lyon family.

Meanwhile, Paramount has just released the first trailer for science fiction movie ARRIVAL which is out this November  revolving around a linguist named Louise Banks (Amy Adams), who is brought in by the government to decipher an extraterrestrial language when alien ships arrive on Earth. Jeremy Renner stars as a theoretical physicist who is trying to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat.

COLIN FARRELL IS WIZARD IN

FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM MOVIE

By now, you've probably already heard that Irish star Colin Farrell has joined HARRY PLOPPER prequel FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM! In the story that is set 70 years before the Harry Plopper series of movies, and that is revolving around a magizoologist named Newt Scamander (Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne) as he sets out to chronicle the history and locations of several magical creatures, Colin Farrell will play wizard Graves who meets with Scamander in New York. Katherine Waterston stars as the female lead Tina, Ezra Miller is the magical Kredan and Alison Sudol is Tina's younger sister Queenie. David Yates is directing movie scheduled for November 2016!

'EMPIRE' 2ND SEASON CASTS

MARIAH CAREY AND PITBULL!
When it comes to television, beside the news that Fox is preparing both X MEN live action TV series and PRISON BREAK mini series with both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, there's also an info that Mariah Carey and PitBull are the latest music stars to appear in the second season of mega popular EMPIRE TV series, which already has Ne Yo, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Lenny Kravitz, Ludacris, guest starring alongside Adam Rodriguez and Marisa Tomei as new actors in the cast! Pitbull will perform a song with Jussie Smollett's Jamal. It isn't known whom Mariah will play and will the diva fight with the mother of all divas Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson)! Carey previously worked with show's writer and director Lee Daniels on his critically acclaimed movie PRECIOUS in which she had an unexpectedly stunning performance. There are also talks that EMPIRE will be soon getting a spin-off prequel series focused only on Cookie Lyon!

'THE GREAT GATEWAY' 

JAMIE BACON IS SCOTLAND'S BONNIE PRINCE CHARLIE

Meanwhile, in the news from our epic front, 'Digital Spy' reports that English actor Jamie Bacon will play the lead role in THE GREAT GATEWAY historical movie on Scottish hero Bonnie Prince Charlie. The story of the movie will follow the Young Pretender's escape across the Western Isles, after defeat at Culloden in the failed Jacobite rising of 1745. With filming scheduled to begin later this month including a scene of battle with half a thousand extras, the movie will also star Mhairi Calvey as Flora McDonald, along with Angus Macfadyen and James Cosmo.
