The Burbs starts this February on Peacock

Peacock has released first teaser for their new dramedy THE BURBS which arrives February 8th next year with Keke Palmer in the lead role about a month ago, but now as the premiere is nearing we have a full trailer and also first promo posters for the brand new series. The eight episode comedic mystery thriller unfolds across the lawns of seemingly pristine suburbia. Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall play young married couple with Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and our dear Kapil Talwalkar as their Hinkley Hills neighbors. The series is a modern reimagining of the classic horror comedy

The series will have eight episodes

 from 1989. Haley Joel Osment and Justin Kirk will guest star.

 

 PEACOCK'S BRAND NEW SERIES

 is set in present-day suburbia and follows a young couple [Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall] who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood. Sky has announced Tahar Rahim and Izuka Hoyle as leads in their new thriller TV series PRISONER which will also star our dearest Laurie Davidson, Eddie Marsan, Catherine McCormack, Finn Bennett, in a story that will  follow a principled young prison officer escorting a dangerous, high-value prisoner to court to testify against his elite crime syndicate. Throughout the journey, their relationship twists and turns, with the stakes escalating as the crime syndicate stops at nothing to track them down. Otto Bathurst is directing.

Kapil Talwalkar will lead the movie

He has been absolutely delightful in the Night Court sitcom, and now Kapil Talwalkar has scored a lead in PAPER FLOWERS true story movie drama in which he will be joined by Tom Everett Scott. As Deadline reports it will be an inspirational indie based on the true story of Shalin Shah, a 22-year-old whose battle with cancer gained viral attention in . It follows recent USC graduate and Peace Corps volunteer Shah (Talwalkar) as he receives a terminal cancer diagnosis, embarking on a mission to live his remaining life to the fullest. Shah’s determination lead him, prior to his passing, to write an article for HuffPost titled “Thank You, Cancer,” which has resonated with audiences worldwide through news articles, blogs and viral hashtags. Tom Everett Scott will play his doctor in the film.

a high-end therapeutic course to overcome their fear of flying. The course's final challenge is an ‘exposure flight’: a return short-haul flight during which they will face their phobia, and in theory, conquer their fear. The group consists of a property developer in her 40s, a social-media ‘influencer’ couple in their late 20s and a former SAS-serviceman turned crime-novelist in his 60s. The destination turns out to be Iceland and the flight ends up being a complete nightmare. When the group finally steps onto solid ground, their anxiety levels are off the charts and the idea of taking a flight back home to London becomes an unbearable prospect. As their intended flight is repeatedly delayed, the airline invites the group to wait out the impending storm in a remote luxury ‘wellness’ hotel somewhere in the bleak, wild moonscape of the Reykjanes peninsula.
