Gal Gadot is negotiating to lead
Showtime's new series about famous Hollywood actress and super intelligent inventor
HEDY LAMARR! Beside being the star of Hollywood's greatest hits in the 40's, for example
Samson and Dalilah, she was also an inventor whose inventions led to WiFi and GPS. As 'Deadline' reports, Austrian born Lamarr started her career in Czechoslovakia in the early 1930s before leaving her husband, a wealthy Austrian ammunition manufacturer, and moving to Paris and London where she got signed by Metro Goldwyn Meyer. When it comes to her scientific works, at the beginning of World War II, she and composer George Antheil developed a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes, which used spread spectrum and frequency.

In other TV news today, it seems that Netflix' movie adaptation of
Stephen King's
IN THE TALL GRASS won't be toplined by
James Marsden, but by another of our beloved actors
Patrick Wilson together with
Laysla De Oliveira and
Harrison Gilbertson.
It follows brother and sister Cal and Becky Demuth! When Becky finds
out she's pregnant during her second year at college, their parents
decide to send her to live with her aunt and uncle until the baby is
born, and Cal comes along with her during the spring break. After
visiting a number of tourist destinations along the way they come across
a vast field, where they hear a boy named Tobin crying out for help.
The twins decide to venture into the field to help young Tobin, but soon
realize that they may never get to leave and that something evil lurks
within the tall grass!

this time on
Fox, last Friday in September, I also told you that, although most of the cast is back, including
Tim Allen and
Nancy Travis, as Mike and Vanessa Baxter, two actors will be replaced and now we have the names of their replacements!
Molly McCook (Good Trouble) will play their middle daughter Mandy replacing Molly Ephraim who signed other contracts while the sitcom was on hiatus, and
Jet Jurgensmeyer (he played Jack's grandson in Will & Grace) will play their grandson Boyd as they're jumping a bit in time and showing him as a 12 year boy at the brink of puberty.
