In latest movie news bulletin today, we have Guy Pearce and Alex Pettyfer announced as leads in new erotic film thriller BLURRED in which they will also be joined by Maria Pedraza and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. The film set in New York fashion world was already shot last summer. It is described as  a smart and sexy thriller with a brilliant cast set against the hustle and flow of New York’s fashion world, a beautiful, raw and intense thrill ride! Pettyfer is also producing.

 

MR. SUNNY SKY MOVIE REVEALS LEAD CAST

Speaking of Guy Pearce he will also star next to Hannah Waddingham in MR. SUNNY SKY  crime-thriller which follows Leonard Moore, a once chart-topping pop star now lounge singer at a mid-budget Canary Island hotel. One night he meets Shirley, another lost soul with whom he shares an instant connection. But Shirley’s husband is a dangerous man and soon the new couple’s burgeoning romance is thrust into a spiral of paranoia, suspense and violence. The cast will also include Rufus Sewell, Eduard Fernandez and Tom Davis with Daniel Ings in the lead.

Valene Kane is Morgan, Arthur’s half-sister and another bastard child of King Uther. She is asharp-tongued and independent minded pagan and student of Merlin. Simon Merrells is Gundleus, King of rival kingdom Siluria. Imposing and savage, Gundleus is prepared to slaughter whoever he needs to secure power.

BBC has just released first trailer from their upcoming new drama series THE GOLD starring Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Dominic Cooper, Charlotte Spencer, Tom Cullen, Emun Elliott, Sean Harris, Ellora Torchia and Stefanie Martini! On the 26th November 1983, six armed men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport, and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m. What started as 'a typical Old Kent Road armed robbery' according to detectives at the time, became a seminal event in British criminal history, remarkable not only for the scale of the theft - at the time the biggest in global history - but for its wider legacy. The disposal of the bullion caused the birth of large-scale international money laundering, provided the dirty money that helped fuel the London Docklands property boom, united blue and white collar criminals and left controversy and murder in its wake. Daniel Ings, Adam Nagaitis, Sam Spruell, have also been added to the cast!

It will air at Berlin Film Festival this year before hitting theatres next March, but we already have a poster and trailer for Willem Dafoe's new movie INSIDE coming from director Vasilis Katsoupis. In the film, which is a co production between United States, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Greece, Dafoe plays Nemo, a high-end art thief, who ends up trapped in a lavish New York penthouse after his heist doesn't go as planned.    CHOCOLAT BECOMING  

A NEW FRENCH TV SERIES

It will be a French language series

After the 2000 movie adaptation, Joanne Harris's international bestseller CHOCOLAT will get a French TV series version as well from Miramax TV and Atlantique productions. The series, that will use both the books from Joanne's series and the film as its source material, will follow a woman and her daughter who settle down in a small town in modern-day France and disrupt the community’s social balance when they open a chocolate shop. Bill Block and Pierre-Antoine Capton will executive produce. And in other French series news, BBC Two will air Marie Antoinette during the holidays, while Foxtel is already streaming it down in Australia, with PBS releasing it in USA next March. PBS has also renewed Miss Scarlet and the Duke for fourth season today and it is already shooting over in Serbia!
