BABIES TV SERIES
TRAILER FROM BBC WITH PAAPA ESSIEDU
I have announced this one about a year ago but now we have the first trailer from BBC's six part drama BABIES a gripping, tender and urgent love story that explores the resilience of a couple navigating the heartbreak of pregnancy loss. The series follows Lisa (Siobhan Cullen) and Stephen (Paapa
Essiedu),
a couple in their 30s whose hope is tested as they endure multiple
miscarriages. While confronting unimaginable grief, their bond shines
through with humour, warmth, and unwavering love. The series also stars Charlotte Riley and Jack Bannon
as Amanda and Dave - a new
couple navigating their own challenges and
testing their compatibility. Their complex relationship, set against
Lisa and Stephen’s ongoing pregnancy journey, begins to expose cracks in
Stephen and Dave’s long-standing friendship. The series starts Monday March 30th on BBC One.

DeleteA beautiful couple...hope they get it through.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for them, so many couples struggle with it.
DeleteOne miscarriage is rough, I am sure. Multiple would definitely take a toll mentally with any couple. Probably physically also for the woman.
ReplyDeleteI have read so many stories about couples who went to countless in vitros and they almost always divorce at some point.
DeleteI will never understand the need to have your own baby that bad that you toss your partner aside. Especially with surrogacy and adoption as options these days.
DeleteIt is not about the tossing aside, but the pressure of it all makes them alienated from each other, like it is no longer about passsion, chemistry, love, but about getting the sperm into the eggs, and then they also start blaming one another, man usually find another less difficult woman and woman puts all the blame on the man and that is usually the end for the marriage.
