Prime Video has issued a trailer for their eight episode TV series adaptation of Isabel Allende's THE HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS and I
have to say it looks so bland, the cast is just so amateurish and uninspired with an annoyingly bad lead. Out April 29th this Spanish language series centers on three generations of women, Clara, Blanca, and Alba, in a conservative South American country shaped by class struggle, political upheaval, and magic. It tells the epic tale of a proud and passionate family, secret loves, and bloody revolution. The Trueba family’s passions, struggles, and secrets span a century of violent social change, culminating in a crisis that hurls the proud, tyrannical patriarch and his beloved granddaughter towards opposite sides of the fence.
