years. Based on a book by
Leonie Frieda, the series will also stream on
Starzplay around the world. Samantha has already played Queen Mary of Scotland on the big screen.
This one looks pretty good! While I want to feel for her only, you have to feel for him too since he wasn't able to marry the woman that he actually loved.
ReplyDeleteYes, kinda like prince Charles, poor lovable sod.
DeleteBut Catherine's husband did not really suffer much, he kept Diana de Poitiers as his lover all his life and had many other mistresses too.
Ok then I rescind my comment!
DeleteHer sons also had tons of lovers and so did her daughter Margot who was considered a shameless royal slut LOL She even had a head of her lover mummified so that she could keep it in her room.
DeleteOMG! And they say future generations are a little crazy. Mummified heads of lovers is a bit "extra". hahahaha
DeleteVincent Perez was that head in famous La Reine Margot movie with Isabel Adiani, he was so pretty back then and mostly nekkid in it, even his chopped head was pretty LOL That film is also famous for the outstanding music from our Goran Bregovic.
DeleteSamantha Morton looks too charming and sexy playing a so-called common and plain lady. Being married to someone who has affairs constantly is just unbearable. I guess there's such a thing called divorce at that time.
ReplyDeleteShe is all made up in this photo, she looks older in reality :)
DeleteI agree with Angie that Samantha might be a bit too pretty for the role, but they always do cast people who were much better looking than the people they are portraying in real life.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we will see her kids in the series as Samantha is a bit older than me. She had three king sons and princess Margot, would be fun to have them all grown up in the series and the casting will be intriguing to follow. Hope they cast James Purefoy as the king.
Deletesound interesting story....classical story.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteSamantha Morton looks great here. This picture really different from the google pictures.
ReplyDeleteI always give my best to make them pretty LOL Sometimes it is a very difficult job.
