IT'S CHRISTOPHER WALKEN, CHRISTINA RICCI AND ZACH BRAFF VS AGRICULTURAL GMO MAFIA IN THE TRAILER FOR MIGHTY DRAMA MOVIE PERCY!

     'PERCY' TRAILER
PERCY VS THE GMO GOLIATH
It is not surprising that you haven't heard about this film much as there are some very mighty powers who do not want you to see it, but PERCY will
Percy probably won't have a wide US release
premiere next week at Canada's Sudbury Cinefest.
Based on events from a 1998 lawsuit, it follows small town farmer Percy Schmeiser (Christopher Walken), who challenges a major conglomerate when the company’s genetically modified (GMO) canola is discovered in the 70 year old farmer’s crops. As he speaks out against the company’s business practices, he realizes he is representing thousands of other disenfranchised farmers around the world fighting the same battle. Suddenly, he becomes an unsuspecting folk hero in a desperate war to protect farmers’ rights and the world’s food supply against what they see as corporate greed. Christina Ricci, Martin Donovan, Luke Kirby and Zach Braff also star.

  1. I haven't heard of this, but it has some big names in it. Ugh, I hope he won. I'm off to Google to research this and potentially boycott canola oil.

    1. I think he lost actually, but just seeing how many paid comments you can see against him under this trailer over at YouTube makes it clear that those companies are still paying big bucks to shut this story down or to incriminate him. It is literally one same comment there repeated dozens of times.

    2. He did lose the main point at the Supreme Court of Canada, but the court also found a partial victory for him which meant he did not have to pay any damages to Monsanto and did not have to pay Monsanto's legal costs. He did, however, still have to pay his own legal costs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monsanto_Canada_Inc_v_Schmeiser

    3. I'm disgusted that Monstanto would even sue and seek to ruin such small farm owners, but evil has no boundaries I guess....

  2. Yes, I remember that court case involving Monsanto against the farmer. Talk about Goliath picking on David! I look forward to seeing this film. Good cast too.

    2. Now I’m definitely going to have to watch this and learn what happened! People who have money and a platform will always be bullied. It’s a shame when the government doesn’t help the little guy stand up to them.

  4. Monsanto is the most corrupt, greedy business if there ever was one. I lost all respect for Bill Nye when he went on a tour and met with the head honchos there, then completely changed his position on GMO. I think he was bought off by Monsanto to convince his followers gmo is not bad. Funny how we didn’t have the illnesses before Monsanto started fucking with our food supply. Now, we’re literally dying from the shit that they keep putting in our food.

    1. The sad thing is that GMO really can be good and was originally invented to be good, to save people from hunger when their crops in harsh places fail. GMO can make them more robust and resilient, but these companies went too far and turned it into a deadly weapon.

    2. What is happening? I googled what GMO is and didn’t see anything saying it’s bad. What does it do to you and how do you avoid it? According to what I saw, it can be a basic fruit or vegetable. You’ve opened my eyes to a whole new thing here..

    3. Just google GMO, Monstanto, controversies etc, but I imagine that over in USA most of the materials they don't want you to see is taken down from the net, that is how they control you constantly. It is like when USA bombed my country day and night for three months and you still cannot find a lot of articles in English about it on the net, because they are erased to fit their purpose. In short, GMO products usually ain't good for your genes, your health etc. you need to buy only organic or even better grow it yourself from natural seeds not from GMO ones. But as far as I've got it their aim is to make all countries ban natural seeds and use only their GMO ones, which means it would be illegal to collect the seeds from your own crops or exchanging them with your neighbour. That would be the absolute control of what we eat and feed our children. My country has GMO banned officially but given our corrupted government it probably won't last long.

    4. Just watch a few documentaries on YouTube and you'll see what a vile company Monsanto is. Because they've bought the politicians here, GMO isn't going anywhere. But other countries like France, Russia, Peru, etc have wised up and put a ban on it. We're going to continue to see a burden on our health system and more diseases pop up as long as our politicians keep getting paid off from them.

    5. It is banned here as well, but that does not mean anything as they can do it behind our backs, sadly :(
