  1. 300 years is a long time span to cover in 8 episodes. Although, it should be good if they feel it could qualify for an Emmy!

    1. I don't think they will cover all generations in the series. They wanted to qualify a new series on Aretha Franklin, but it isn't finished, so they pushed this up ahead.

  2. Sounds like it could be a good series.

    1. I certainly hope so as the offer will be very poor this year.

  3. I must mark this date down on my calendar so I can watch this series! I couldn't plough through the entire book but I did read and enjoy this first part. I agree, the mini-series will only address this first generation of characters, not the rest of the book. That would be impossible to pack into 8 episodes. If the series is successful, perhaps they will film a new set of episodes about the next generation, and then the next, and then the next. This could drag on for years! (Just like the book seemed to).

  4. If it's good, hopefully they will continue with stories from later generations. I'll definitely be adding this to my watch list!
