'THE ENFIELD HAUNTING'
Still no updates from Hollywood, so we're sticking to the TV news today as well, starting with some British ones: a thespian cast consisting of Timothy Spall, Matthew MacFadyen and Juliet Stevenson, will star in Sky Living's new series THE ENFIELD HAUNTING. Envisioned in three episodes, the series will try to explore the unusual events that took place at a house in Enfield back in the 70s. In the story dealing with one of the most talked about recordings of alleged poltergeist activity in UK history, Timothy Spall will play paranormal researcher who is invited into a house after reports of a family being victimised by unseen forces. Juliet Stevenson will play his wife, while Matthew Macfadyen will portray a sceptical investigator who joins him at the house.

I'd watch anything Timothy Spall was in. Such a great actor.
ReplyDeletehe might get an Oscar nod for his role as Mr. Turner next year......
DeleteNothing here for me today.
ReplyDeleteI think you would really like BABY DADDY if you give it a go... it is a warm type of sitcom just like NANNY was
DeleteMaybe I'll give it a go then, see if it's on NetFlix.
DeleteThanks, Dez.
Hope it is!
DeleteI do like Matthew Macfadyen. I'd suffer through a scary ghost-story to watch him. I like his Ripper Street show and was sorry to see it get cancelled. Thought it was well done.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it renewed at some other network? Netflix or something?
DeleteMany years ago I saw the original movie made out of "The Go Between" and didn't like it. Hopefully this new TV remake will be better!
ReplyDeletefingers crossed, BBC usually knows their business
DeleteI meant to watch Baby Daddy when it first came out, and completely forgot to start recording it. I can't believe they are already in their 4th season. I need to see if it is available on Netflix so I can catch up!
ReplyDeleteit is such an outstandingly sweet sitcom, with brilliant actors! It doesn't have that many episodes, since the first season had about ten, the second about 15 and the third about 20... I covered it all this summer at weekends and loved it with all my heart :) And GUYS WITH KIDS too!
DeleteThat's another one I forgot about- Guys With Kids. I am so far behind on tv shows, but we are slowly starting to catch up now that the girls are back in school. I'm sure I could knock the first season of 10 episodes out in a week or two!
DeleteI fell in deep love with GUYS WITH KIDS too and I'm devastated that it had just one season :( Brilliant actors, outstanding chemistry between them and delightful family plots in each episode...
DeleteI watched BABY DADDY like a hungry wolf :) three or four episodes per evening, I just couldn't stop, they're all so sweet.... I've never seen a show in which all characters are extremely likeable...
I must remember to watch THE ENFIELD HAUNTING with the lights on.
ReplyDeleteghosts don't like lights?
DeleteNothing really catching my eye today. But congrats on one of your fave comedies making it to it's fourth season.
ReplyDeleteit doesn't happen often... my faves are usually cancelled in the first season :(
DeleteI think I would love baby daddy!! I loved the nany too (I saw your comment to Ivy:)
ReplyDeleteI love the baby:)
