Ben Reeves' book will become a movie

A bunch of new book adaptations today for you, starting with Marc Turletaub who will helm movie adaptation of Ben Reeves novel EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURT which tells the story of Travis, who lives with his cat in a small, gray town. His job is to offer people comfort in their final hours of life, which he does without complaint or judgment. But when Travis meets Dalia, a midwife, and her boisterous eight-year-old daughter Layla, who live across the hall, he begins to understand what it means to be truly alive and what might be irrevocably lost in death. No news on the possible stars yet, but stay tuned, we will continue following the project.

 

THE BODYGUARD OR GUARDING STARS

 Netflix is already making a festive feature film based on Katherine Center's THE BODYGUARD. Titled GUARDING STARS it will see Leighton Meester play executive

While we expect for her to get nominated again for an Oscar for her singing screeching role in Florence Jenkins Foster, living legend Meryl Streep will both star in and produce, together with J.J. Abrams a mini series adaptation of THE NIX, a bestselling novel by Nathan Hill!

THE NIX is a sprawling generational tale that focuses on a hippie era mother who gets national press exposure for throwing rocks at a conservative governor on the presidential campaign trail. Before you know it, her estranged son, a professor, aspiring novelist and general underachiever, seizes an opportunity to get himself out of debt by writing a scathing profile of his estranged mother.

According to fresh news, Tyler Hoechlin, whom you are currently watching as the latest reincarnation of Superman in Supergirl TV series, and lovely Kate Bosworth, are negotiating to take the lead roles in post apocalyptic thriller movie THE DOMESTICS. Although the title does not really reveal it, the story takes place in a futuristic wasteland where a young couple travels through a harrowing, gang ravaged countryside in an attempt to make it home. Mike P. Nelson is both writing and directing the feature film.

'THRONE OF GLASS' SAGA

TO BE ADAPTED INTO 'QUEEN OF SHADOWS' TV SERIES

And an info for all the book lovers: as 'Deadline' reports today, Hulu has bought adaptation rights on Sarah J. Maas'  THRONE OF GLASS epic bestseller and will turn it into a TV series QUEEN OF SHADOWS with Anna Foerster of Underworld: Blood Wars directing the pilot.

QUEEN OF SHADOWS follows Celaena Sardothien, a complicated female assassin with a mysterious past who only wants her freedom. Casting news today, starting with 'Hollywood Reporter' writing that Nicole Kidman has joined THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER in which Colin Farrell will join director Yorgos Lanthimos again after LOBSTER. She will play  his wife, with Farrell a successful surgeon who attempts to integrate a teenager into his family, but when the teen’s actions grow increasingly sinister, the doctor is forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice.

ZAC EFRON JOINS HUGH JACKMAN

Meanwhile, Zac Efron is apparently in talks to join Hugh Jackman in new musical THE GREATEST SHOWMAN ON EARTH in which Jackman plays PT Barnum, the impresario who founded what went on to become the travelling Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

MAX BROWN JOINS 'THE ROYALS'
And a royal piece of TV news, as well. We thought that the oldest prince died even before the 1st season of E! megapopular THE ROYALS series started since it begun with his funeral, but it seems he is alive! Max Brown has joined the cast as queen Helena's (Elizabeth Hurley) oldest son Prince Robert, who was supposed to be dead in a military accident but is coming back to turn the kingdom upside down, just when we thought Prince Liam (William Moseley) was gonna take over the throne after they threw down their scandalous uncle in the second season finale.  Returning later this year,  season three will pick up two weeks after the execution of late King Simon's (Vincent Regan) murderer.

The first trailer has been revealed for DENIAL, the adaptation of “History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier'' book by Deborah E. Lipstadt’s (played by Rachel Weisz) about her legal battle for historical truth against David Irving (Timothy Spall), who accused her of libel! In the English legal system, the burden of proof is on the accused, therefore it was up to Lipstadt and her legal team to prove the essential truth that the Holocaust occurred. Tom Wilkinson also stars alongside Andrew Scott in the biographical drama.
