Back in November I showed you the first trailer for Glen Powell's February 2026 movie HOW TO MAKE A KILLING but a second, longer one has been released today. Previously known as Huntington and directed by John Patton Ford, with Ed Harris, Topher Grace and Margaret Qualley also in the cast, the film follows blue-collar Becket Redfellow (Powell), disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, who will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way. The film is officially set for the release in theatres February 20th this year.

The series starts June 19th on Netflix

for June 19th release and we have today the first trailer and poster for the eight episode family drama. Inspired by true events, it is as much about family dynamics as it is about the lengths people will go to when their legacy is on the line.

But their fishing empire has started to crumble as patriarch Harlan Buckley (Holt McCallany) recovers from two heart attacks, and his wife Belle (Maria Bello) and son Cane (Jake Weary) venture into the deep end to keep the family businesses afloat. As their attempts spiral out of control and into treacherous waters, Harlan steps back in to take command. Facing her own demons, Buckley daughter Bree (Melissa Benoist), an addict in recovery who’s lost custody of her son, finds herself entangled in a complicated relationship that could threaten the family’s future forever. Lucy Liu will return to TV with the new sitcom

when Kyra Sedgwick's Call Your Mother sitcom starts, ABC is also going forward with new workplace multicam sitcom which will star Lucy Liu.

  The new comedy, working title is KIDS MATTER NOW, and it was also known as BOSSY, will see her playing Devin, the fierce and powerful head of Shelter, a large and successful modern furniture company. She is a force and is unfamiliar with failure. But when Devin adopts a baby, she is ill-prepared for the task of parenting and feels at a complete loss as to how to be a mom.

Created by one of Friends' writer Shana Goldberg Meehan, it will start shooting as soon as corona allows, together with single camera comedies HOME ECONOMICS (starring Topher Grace, about three adult siblings: one in the 1%, one middle class and one barely holding on) and Tone Bell's WORK WIFE about a duo of real estate agents whose professional success, personal friendship and ability to share deodorant makes their lives work.

JESUS IN 'BEN HUR' EPIC REMAKE?

We did lost track of the casting process for BEN HUR remake after the choices have turned out to be rather bland, but now they have a very interesting choice for the role of Jesus: according to 'The Hollywood Reporter' 300's Persian Emperor Xerxes Rodrigo Santoro could take the role! The epic drama will follow Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston), a prince in Jerusalem who is betrayed and sold into slavery. The story of his redemption runs parallel to the life and crucifixion of Jesus!. Morgan Freeman will be Ildarin who teaches BEN HUR how to drive chariots, Sofia Black D'Elia will play Ben-Hur's sister Tirzah, Toby Kebbell is Messala who sells him to slavery, HOMELAND's Nazanin Boniadi is BEN HUR's love interest Esther, while GAME OF THRONES' star Pedro Pascal is Pontius Pilate.

In TV news, first info is that LORD OF THE RINGS star John Rhys Davies has joined SHANNARA epic fantasy series in which he will play King Eventine, Amberle’s (Poppy Drayton) grandfather, who has ruled the Elvin kingdom of Arborlon for decades!
NOAH REID IS 'KEVIN FROM WORK'
Over at ABC Family they have found lead stars for their two new sitcoms. First up is KEVIN FROM WORK in which  Noah Reid will play Kevin, an adorable but lonely young man unlucky in love who professes his love to his beautiful and quirky co-worker Audrey (Paige Spara), thinking he’ll never see her again after he accepts a job offer overseas. But then that job offer is rescinded and now they have to continue to work with each other. Matt Murray will be his best friend and confidant who is also a bit of a prankster; he’s always giving Kevin the not smartest advice.
SHOSHANA BUSH IS 'TOUGH COOKIE'
The other one is TOUGH COOKIE centring around a young mother who isn’t ready to parent and her daughter who doesn’t want to be parented. Shoshana Bush will play the lead role of Lilla, a strong-willed, successful publicist who got pregnant at a young age by a man she loved who dumped her, and she gave her baby girl up for adoption so she wouldn’t have to be reminded of him ever again. Now, she learns that her daughter, Eleanor, is slated for another round of foster care unless Lilla gives her a chance in a three-day trial that neither of them is looking forward to. Definitely not mother material, Lilla is shocked to see so much of herself in the outspoken, confident, take-no-prisoners Eleanor, and to her surprise, she doesn’t want Eleanor to go. Arturo del Purto will be Mickey, one of Lilla’s roommates, a neurotic hipster and something of a neat freak.

MUSIC STAR J.C. CHASEZ JOINS TOPHER GRACE AND TAYE DIGGS

Here's something very musical for you: 'Deadline' reports that N'SYNC star J.C. Chasez is the latest one to join Topher Grace's musical movie ONE SHOT which already has third hunk in the cast - Taye Diggs, in a story about a failed Broadway performer turned stage manager who must wrangle the eccentric cast and crew of a new play to save the show’s opening night. Topher Grace is portraying the stage manager and also producing, while J.C. Chasez will play Grace’s nemesis, the star of the musical play within the movie who sleeps with his ex-girlfriend. Broadway star Lesli Margherita will play one of the female roles.

 'POLDARK' HISTORICAL SERIES

In TV news, ITV has released a cast photo for their historical series POLDARK which should air in 8 episodes next spring with Aidan Turner playing the titular character who comes home to Cornwall  from the American War of Independence to find his former life in tatters. On his return, he discovers that his father has died, his wife Elizabeth, believing he was dead, is betrothed to his cousin and his home is overrun with livestock and drunken servants.The cast image shows from left - George Warleggan (Jack Farthing), Francis Poldark (Kyle Soller), Elizabeth (Heida Reed), Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson), Ross (Aidan Turner), Verity Poldark (Ruby Bentall) and Aunt Agatha (Caroline Blakiston)!

'HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2'

What better way to start holidays than with some animated delight: DreamWorks has released first pictures from the animated sequel HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2 which arrives next September! The first one, which earned more than $250 million around the world, followed Dracula (Adam Sandler) and his relationship with his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez), who doesn't like being cooped up in his hotel strictly for monsters. Sequel is set at a family gathering that brings Dracula's father Vlad (Mel Brooks) into town for the first time in several years. His visit creates havoc for Vlad, Mavis, Jonathan and other hotel regulars because Vlad, who lives in a cave, finds it strange that his son would own a hotel!
