Paramount Plus has released first photos from their new series THE KILLING KIND with Colin Morgan and Emma Appleton. Based on Jane Casey's novel the series stars Appleton as Ingrid Lewis, a barrister who gets too close to her client John Webster (Morgan) and finds that he's determined to implode her world when she tries to move on with her life. The drama will follow Ingrid as she deals with John's obsession and tries to rebuild her life, although when her mentor and friend dies, John makes an unexpected appearance and a sensational claim. Locked in a game of cat and mouse and fuelled by an obsession to find out the truth, Ingrid finds her world threatening to unravel once more! The cast also includes Elliot Barnes-Worrell as Ingrid's ex-fiancé Mark, Kerr Logan as DS Luke Nash, Sara Powell as Ingrid's mentor Belinda Grey and Nicholas Rowe as Belinda's husband Angus Grey.

Instead of deactivating Evan, Faye sets him up to live illegally on his own. While there he meets Casey (Simu Liu), a brilliant programmer who helps him become more human in order to win Faye back. Unbeknownst to Evan, his new friend is wanted for questioning by a determined Artificial Intelligence Compliance Enforcement agent (Worthington). Evan has to win over Faye’s heart before they are discovered and he loses everything.

RALPH FIENNES AND JULIETTE BINOCHE AFTER 20 YEARS

The film that has just been sold to USA, is a new retelling of Odysseus and his story with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche leading THE RETURN movie. After 20 years away, Odysseus (Fiennes) washes up on the shores of Ithaca, haggard and unrecognizable. The King has finally returned home but much has changed in his kingdom since he left to fight in the Trojan  war.His beloved wife Penelope (Binoche) is now a prisoner in her own home, hounded by her many ambitious suitors to choose a new husband, a new king. Their son Telemachus (Charlie Plummer), who has grown up fatherless, is facing death at the hands of the suitors who see him as an obstacle in their relentless pursuit of Penelope and the kingdom. Uberto Pasolino directs this spring.

Speaking of bad faith and love problems, you have abundance of those in the trailer for new romantic drama ONE TRUE LOVES which hits cinemas April 7th and then a week later will be available for streaming on Apple TV Plus. Two godlike hunks Simu Liu and Luke Bracey lead the movie in which Phillipa Soo plays a woman who is unexpectedly forced to choose between the husband she has long thought dead and the fiance who has finally brought her back to life. Amazon Prime Video is developing a TV series adaptation of Ben Mezrich's novel SEVEN WONDERS and have set Simu Liu as the lead actor! This action adventure series revolves around the brilliant botanist-adventurer, Dr. Nate Grady (Liu), who teams up with the slippery international fixer, Sloane Seydoux, on a breathless race to solve an ancient mystery tied to the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World. Liu will also executive produce!

 

 VILLA PAZ HISTORICAL SERIES 

SET IN SPANISH CIVIL WAR

The Handmaid's Tale's producer Matthew Hastings is selling a new series pitch at MipCom in Cannes. He will both direct and showrun VILLA PAZ a true story which follows a team of idealistic medics who convert a royal palace into a field hospital. Set in Spain in 1937, an international team of volunteers toil tirelessly at the hospital, as rivalries and relationships imperil their battle to save lives. Max Benitz is penning the scripts.
