LEGACY OF SPIES
BBC TV SERIES UNVEILS NEW CAST
After casting Matthew MacFadyen as the lead in their LEGACY OF SPIES TV series adaptation of John Le Carre's The Spy Who Came In From the Cold book, in which he stars as the iconic George Smiley, alongside
Charlie Hunnam as Alec Leamas, the maverick field operative, Daniel Brühl as Josef Fiedler, a methodical Stasi intelligence strategist, Devrim Lingnau
as Doris Quinz, a young and dynamic East German woman who
delivers
vital intelligence from the heart of the East German operatio, and Dan Stevens as Bill Haydon, a brilliant and enigmatic Circus insider, BBC has also added Hugh Laurie, Joe Alwyn, James McArdle, Adam Hugill and Goran Bogdan to the eight part series.

Hope it will be on ZDF someday!
ReplyDeleteIt is quite possible, they do have some series being done with BBC.
DeleteI've always liked Daniel Brühl. I've enjoyed his performances for years. I also have a special fondness for him because I once happened to meet him on a train.
ReplyDeleteSeeing him play a Stasi strategist in a John le Carré story feels like a role tailor-made for him. And with Hugh Laurie and Matthew MacFadyen in the cast, this series certainly looks promising. We'll have to keep an eye on the premiere. A big hug!
Germany has a number of really nice actors, my fave are Jannis Niewohner and David Kross.
DeleteReturning the hug.
Um grande elenco de homens, Dezmond feliz quinta-feira abraços.
ReplyDeleteAbracos to you as well.
