The series starts June 17th on Hulu
Starting tomorrow, June 17th over at Hulu is new six episode series THE SEASON with our dearest Toby Stephens in the lead role. This series plunges viewers into the opulent world of Hong Kong’s elites. At the heart of this glittering social landscape is the Hext family, an old-money dynasty whose reach extends from the city’s horse racing tracks to exclusive yacht soirées and star-studded charity galas. But beneath the polished façades and sparkling champagne, tensions simmer — and the arrival of Cola, a newcomer with a hidden agenda, threatens to unravel the carefully curated world of high society.

      Very, especially May Lee who is talentless and wooden as hell, but was cast because she is known in USA.

    Dezmond, I've watched the trailer and, to be honest, I don't think this one is for me. It gave me a strong feeling of "I've seen this before" that I just couldn't shake. It may well turn out to be a great series, but at the moment it hasn't sparked enough interest for me to add it to my watchlist. If you end up watching it, you'll have to let me know whether it's worth it.

      It could be fun to watch in the summer heat with all that yachting scene and rich summer resorts.

    All of the Asians have American accents in this one. Is that not odd for a setting in Hong Kong?

      I imagine not, it is a very complex situation down there culturally. But Jessie May is a godawful actress, so maybe that is the answer. I remember how atrocious she was in Shadow and Bone series, a true torture watching her idiotic and fake facial expressions and annoying voice.

      I don't like Jessie May and I don't like her character, but there were other characters to root for, and the scenery, aesthetic, food porn! Glorious. I loved it. I wonder if they'll get another season.

      Took you two months to notice LOL
      I have been blocked from my own page by Facebook for two months now and I cannot resolve it as they are not responding to numerous requests for help. Even if they give the page back to me I have no intention of continuing it because none of the followers has asked me what has been happening for two months, so I have no wish to continue there for ungrateful people. I am still on Twitter, and you can visit us here daily, we post mornings and often evenings as well Central European Time.
