SIX MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT which is currently airing in cinemas around Europe but is set for UK in March next year which is unusual, as Russia and Spain have already seen it.
Directed by Andy Goddard it is set in Summer 1939. Influential families
in Nazi Germany have sent their daughters to a finishing school in an
English seaside town to learn the language and be ambassadors for a
future looking National Socialist. A teacher there (
Eddie Izzard) sees
what is coming and is trying to raise the alarm. But the authorities
believe he is the problem.

The movie is currently airing in Russian and Spanish cinemas

inspired in the real-life Augusta Victoria College, located in the also
real-life coastal town Bexhill-on-Sea. Named after the last empress of
Germany, it was closed in 1939.
No available until March? I wonder if it's available on torrent since it has been released elsewhere. It does look really good, and you know we're always down for a Dench film.

DeleteThese both look good, minus the casting of Priyanka. She’s not just a bad actor, but she’s obnoxious! I can see that story line happening in real life. How many times have you reached out to an old number and actually get a response? That happens to me frequently, only I don’t normally send romantic or juicy messages. Lol
ReplyDeleteIt never happened to me as I've never really changes numbers, I have this one for almost two decades as I need it for my publishers. I do wish someone would send me juicy messages though...
DeleteAllison got added to some family group text over the summer and would just sit there laughing at some of the things the family said to each other. Nothing juicy, but entertaining enough not to remove herself from the group. This went on for about a month until someone said "who does this extra phone number belong to?" and the jig was up. They removed her from their family chat. They were in the process of setting up a family zoom meeting and she was going to join in and be like "surprise!" LOL but she was removed before she got the log in information. This has happened twice to her. I've never gotten a random text before but I have had this number for 15 years so it's not surprising.
ReplyDeleteI've got sex messages a few times, but I always thought those were probably from my old students poking fun with me anonymously. I've never fell into that trap.
