Following an accident, memories of his service on the Ninth Planet come flooding back to auto mechanic Dima Khrust: breath taking landscapes, an Earthling base, battles against monsters, friends, and Polina, the woman he once saved. His fellow soldiers think he’s lost his mind, as their own memories are entirely different, consisting of ordinary military service. But when Dima encounters Polina in real life, he is certain: someone has tampered with all their memories. Who did it, and why? The truth can only be uncovered by returning to that dangerous planet... Parts of film were shot in Morocco.

Straight from Russia comes a trailer for their new historical adventure movie BATTLE OF ENGINES (Битва моторов) which will be ready to storm into cinemas October 8th announcing the new cinematic season in theatres. Based on real events from the beginning of the 20th century this new sports drama is dedicated to the glorious history of Russian Russo-Balt automobiles. Beside Russia, parts of the movie were also shot down in Serbia

The movie is out this October in cinemas

 and Montenegro. Ivan Yankovsky plays Andrei Nagel in the film, and Oscar nominee Yura Borisov plays his navigator, Dmitry Bondarev. The cast also includes Paulina Andreeva, Yehezkel Lazarov, and Alexei Guskov. 

 

 WHAT IS THE FILM ABOUT?

 The film is based on real events when Andrei Nagel set off from St. Petersburg on December 31, 1911, on a Russo-Balt train manufactured by the Russo-Baltic Wagon Works to compete in the race to Monte Carlo. This is the story of people who decided to do the impossible — create the first Russian mass-produced automobile. In 1908, car enthusiast Andrei Nagel found support from engineer Dmitry Bondarev. Together, they assembled a team of like-minded individuals and began developing the Russo-Balt automobile. When the project is threatened, Nagel makes a risky decision to prove their car's viability at the prestigious Monaco Rally. This move could spell the end of the Russo-Balt project... THIS BRAND NEW SERIES

Comes from legendary Andrei Konchalovskiy as his biggest project ever with the story covering the period from 1905 to 1924 with the focus primarily on human destinies that intersect at one of the turning points in Russian history. The main character Mikhail Prokhorov, a young security officer who, due to his job, tries to unravel a tangle of conspiracies, is played by Yura Borisov, and the lead female role of Ariadna, a socialite and revolutionary, is played by Yulia Vysotskaya. The main characters also include Emperor Nicholas II (Nikita Efremov), the leader of the revolution Vladimir Lenin (Evgeny Tkachuk), and Joseph Stalin (Timofey Okroev). The series features many famous characters — from Rasputin, Gapon and Trotsky to Gorky, Blok and Meyerhold, from Matilda Kshesinskaya to Inessa Armand, from ministers and grand dukes to thieves and British spies. It is the history of the tragic events of the October Revolution. The period from 1905 to 1924 is a difficult era that influenced the fate of people not only in Russia, but also the whole world in the 20th century.
