I know, I know, I am not into bloodsuckers either, but I certainly am a huge sucker for our dearest Sam Reid, the best actor of his generation, so watching AMC's new INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE mini TV series is a definite must when it launches October 2nd! The new eight episode adaptation of the famous novel by Anne Rice will have Rolin Jones as writer, executive producer, and show runner, with Anne's son Christopher Rice also serving as the executive producer.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE 

 a sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel,  follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a Black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat de Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement. “Let the tale seduce you, just as I was seduced,” Jacob Anderson as the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac says in the trailer below. “He was my murderer, my mentor, my lover, and my maker.' 1ST TV SERIES TRAILER IS HERE

During the Comic Con this weekend, AMC released the first full trailer for their INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE series revealing it will start October 2nd! The adaptation of Anne Rice’s iconic gothic horror novel, will see Jacob Anderson playing a 200 year-old vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac as he recounts his bloody life story to a reporter, particularly focusing on his romance with the vampire that turned him, Lestat de Lioncourt (our dearest boy Sam Reid), and the twisted family unit they form with their 10 year-old vampire “daughter” Claudia played by Bailey Bass. The seven episode series is set in jazzy New Orleans and is a modernised version of the old story.

AMC RELEASES FIRST PHOTOS

AMC Plus has released first official photos from their mini TV series adaptation of Anne Rice's vampire saga INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE showing our dearest boy Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt and Jacob Anderson as Louis. They are joined in the cast by Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy, and Bailey Bass as Claudia. As you know, the story follows an 18th century Lord, Louis, as he recounts his story and tumultuous relationship with his maker – Lestat – to an eager interviewer and biographer. After he was turned into a vampire by Lestat in 1790s in New Orleans, they developed alove-hate relationship over the centuries, eventually turning a young girl named Claudia (Bailey Bass) into a vampire and adding her to their brood. It is expected that the AMC Plus series will have seven episodes in the first season.

cast Jacob Anderson in their eight part small screen adaptation of INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE which already has our dearest Sam Reid as Lestat. The story follows Louis who, born as an 18th century lord, is now a bicentennial vampire, telling his story to an eager biographer. Suicidal after the death of his family, he meets Lestat, a vampire who persuades him to choose immortality over death and become his companion. Eventually, gentle Louis resolves to leave his violent maker, but Lestat guilts him into staying by turning a young girl whose addition to the "family" breeds even more conflict. I've heard somewhere that the story will be changed a bit and Louis will be an owner of a brothel not a French plantation owner.

Wheel of Time arrives this November

Last month we got the first poster and starting date for  Amazon Prime's epic TV adaptation of famous saga WHEEL OF TIME and now they have released a few photos too and I must admit I'm a bit disappointed as they seem to reveal a series cheaper looking than I expected, just look at those subpar costumes! Set in a high fantasy world where magic exists, but only some can access it, the eight episode saga follows a woman named Moiraine who embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women. Based on Robert Jordan's famous saga, the series arrives this November!

WHAT IS THE SERIES ABOUT?
