ORLANDO BLOOM TO LEAD AMAZON'S VICTORIAN FANTASY SERIES 'CARNIVAL ROW'! OLIVER JACKSON COHEN JOINS 'HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE' TV SERIES

Oliver will probably play the son of the family
Man in An Orange Shirt mini series, has joined Timothy Hutton, Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas in HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE Netflix ten episode series.
The series will be a modern re-imagining of Shirley Jackson's classic 1959 novel of the same name. The story revolves around four people living in an 80 year old mansion. Michiel Huisman will take on the role of Steven Crane, the oldest Crane sibling and a published writer of supernatural books — including a memoir about his family's time living at Hill House. Hutton will probably be the father of the family.

'CARNIVAL ROW' VICTORIAN FANTASY TELEVISION SERIES
We haven't seen him much on film in recent years, but he is now moving onto the small screens: as 'Deadline' reports, Orlando Bloom
Orlando will be a police inspector
will lead Amazon's fantasy series CARNI- VAL ROW an eight part drama set in a neo Victorian city. Mythical creatures fleeing their war torn homeland have gathered in the city, and tensions are simmering between citizens and the growing immigrant population.
In the series that follows the investi- gation of a string of unsolved murders that are eating away at whatever uneasy peace still exists, Orlando Bloom will play the man in the centre of it, Rycroft Philostrate, a police inspector investigating the murder of a faerie showgirl on CARNIVAL ROW. Rycroft is not supposed to care about the death of another faerish refugee, but he does, and getting to the bottom of what happened to her will come at a big cost.

Well. this we certainly like! After he played a Russian count in War and Peace, our dearest Jack Lowden will go royal again in new MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS movie in which Saoirse Ronan plays the tragic queen, while Margot Robbie is her enemy cousin Elizabeth of England. Lowden will be famous Lord Darnley!
MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS will be based on John Guy's The True Life of Mary Stuart which shows her not as a woman who uses her feminine charms to achieve her goals (she was first married to the French king, then to a couple of other aristocrats in Scotland, before being forced to give her throne to her son James after which she was executed by Elizabeth) but as the intellectual and political equal of Elizabeth I. CW's series Reign, which also follows Mary's life, ends with the final ever episode next Friday after four seasons. She married Darnley thinking he will strengthen her claim to the English throne but he got killed in the end.

In the world of the small screens, The Hollywood Reporter writes today that Netflix has hired Age of Adaline and Game of Thrones star Michiel Huisman as the lead in their new THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE ten episode series. The series will be a modern re-imagining of Shirley Jackson's classic 1959 novel of the same name. The story revolves around four people living in an 80 year old mansion. Michiel Huisman will take on the role of Steven Crane, the oldest Crane sibling and a published writer of supernatural books — including a memoir about his family's time living at Hill House. There was a movie version of this story twenty years ago with Catherine Zeta Jones and Liam Neeson.
