KEANU REEVES, ISLA FISHER TO LEAD 'STARLING' TOUCHING DRAMA! SANDRINE HOLT TO LEAD 'CROSSING' SF SERIES, ZACH GILFORD DWAYNE JOHNSON'S 'LIFELINE' SF SHOW

 KEANU REEVES TO LEAD
'THE STARLING' WITH ISLA FISHER
Here's a lovely plot: as 'Deadline' reports today, Keanu Reeves and Isla Fisher should lead drama movie THE STARLING as a married couple who lose a child and the wife goes into a recovery place to help her with overwhelming grief, leaving the husband at home alone. To help aid in her recovery, the husband decides to build a beautiful garden for his wife in their backyard, but as he does he is tormented by an aggressive, black starling. At his wits end with the relentless nature of the bird, he goes to see a veterinarian to find out if there is a humane way to get rid of it. The vet, the husband finds out, used to be a psychiatrist but gave it up to help animals instead. However, the quirky vet begins counselling the husband in a turn that neither of them really expected. This could be a very emotional role for Keanu whose own girlfriend died a year after they lost their baby.

 'THE CROSSING' SF SERIES
SANDRINE HOLT TO LEAD
Sf TV news today, people! I already informed you earlier this winter that ABC is preparing a pilot for sf series THE CROSSING and now it has been announced that Sandrine Holt will take the lead. It revolves around refugees from a war torn country who start showing up to seek asylum in an American town. But the country these people are from is America and the war they are fleeing is 250 years in the future. The local sheriff with a past, a federal agent, and a mother in search of her missing refugee daughter drive this allegory with a surprising conspiracy at the centre. Holt will be Emma Peralta, a federal customs agent whose keen mind is always processing its surroundings, which allows her to perpetually exude control amongst chaos. Heavily sceptical of the refugees’ story and the concept of time travel, she nonetheless is sympathetic enough to find the truth due to her rough past as an immigrant.

'LIFELINE' SF SERIES
 ZACH GILFORD TO TOPLINE
Another SF series, the first one to be aired at YouTube, Dwayne Johnson produced LIFELINE has just cast one of our personal faves, stunning Zach Gilford in the lead role. Set in the not too distant future, the half hour series is about a little known life insurance company that sends its agents forward 33 days in time to prevent the accidental deaths of its clients. The company’s best agent, Conner Hooks (Zach Gilford), has never missed a save – until he takes on the most personal case of his life. When sixteen year old Norah (Sydney Park) is orphaned on his watch, Conner pledges to protect her, even if that means putting his career at LIFELINE, or his own life, in jeopardy.

A selection of TV news today, starting with Gregg Sulkin and his colleague from their Disney days David Henrie who have prepared DOWNTOWN EARL show in which Greg is Duke Ashley Earl Winthrop who, after royally embarrassing the crown one last time, is shipped away. He’ll be stripped of the crown and forced to learn humility the American way by living with a working class family in downtown LA with his chaperone, and polar opposite, MI6 agent Balt (Henrie), who is forced to document the journey via vid-log.

'ELEMENTS' SF SHOW
USA Network and James Frey will develop ELEMENTS TV series following the aftermath of an extreme environmental shift across the world. On a beautiful day in Miami, it starts to snow, and doesn’t stop  leaving the world frozen as one man searches for his fiancĂ©e before the world falls into complete stasis.
'CROSSING' SF SHOW
ABC will produce THE CROSSING sf series from Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie which revolves around refugees from a war torn country who start showing up seeking asylum in a U.S. city but the country these people are from is America, and the war they are fleeing is 500 years in the future

'THE GREAT WALL' NEW TRAILER
EPIC MOVIE ADVENTURE
In the trailer department, you can check out the second trailer for epic adventure THE GREAT WALL which is out in China this December and in USA next February directed by legendary Zhang Yimou!  A mix of epic adventure, history and fantasy, the movie follows an epic battle for humanity in which an elite force makes a heroic stand atop the Great Wall of China. Andy Lau, Willem Dafoe and Pedro Pascal lead the international cast. Although the movie looks visually breathtaking the casting of Matt Damon in it looks like a very sad joke indeed.
