Over the years she was often mentioned for various superhero roles, and was even supposed to be Black Widow instead of Scarlett Johansson, but it seems that now Marvel has firmly set their eyes on Emily Blunt as CAPTAIN MARVEL! The latest rumours around the web state that although they are still looking for a director (there were talks that Angelina Jolie was offered the helm), the studio has already signed Blunt to play in the movie scheduled for 2018! Carol Danvers is a security chief who becomes CAPTAIN MARVEL after surviving an explosion which leaves her with superhuman strength and the ability to fly! Charlize Theron was also mentioned for the role.

And another intriguing casting mystery today is who will take the coveted lead role in one of the numerous Robin Hood movie projects that are being planned in Hollywood. 'Deadline' reports today that Lionsgate is already choosing a young lead for their ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS in order to beat all other rivals in the production race which includes for other projects in different studios all eyeing the green clad vigilante. Apparently, the list of potential actors currently includes British actor Taron Egerton (KINGSMAN) alongside fellow British stars Nicholas Hoult (X MEN, JACK THE GIANT SLAYER) and Jack Huston (who has already been chosen as the new BEN HUR) and charismatic TRANSFORMER's Jack Reynor (Deadline says that he already had a successful meeting with the director Otto Bathurst). Sherwood forest could see THE MAZE RUNNER's Dylan O’Brian too wearing green tights.

THE SHER- WOOD HOOD 
 The revisionist take on the famous medieval legend ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS will see Robin Hood returning from fighting in The Crusades and finding that Sherwood Forest is rife with corruption and evil. He forms a band of outlaws and they take matters into their own hands. At the same time Disney's rival movie NOTTINGHAM & HOOD is said to be in the epic adventure potential tentpole vein. The shooting of the Lionsgate's movie should start early next year before all other rival films.

Well, that would certainly be a match of two seriously pompous and arrogant egos :) According to brand new and sizzling hot Tinseltown rumours, Marvel is currently courting Angelina Jolie as potential director and Charlize Theron as the lead star in their CAPTAIN MARVEL big screen movie which is already scheduled to bring the female superhero to the cinemas in November 2018! Apparently, Jolie would accept the helm if Theron gets the role since, as of late, the two of them have been friends privately. The studio wants a female director for the movie, the same as DC wants a lady helmer for their WONDER WOMAN film. CAPTAIN MARVEL is American Air Force chief of security who survives an explosion and becomes a super heroine with extreme strength and the ability to fly. 

'OUTLANDER' 2ND SEASON

STANLEY WEBER AND ROBERT CAVANAH JOIN THE CAST
Good news for all the ladies who seemed to love the first season of Starz' epic TV series OUTLANDER based on Diana Gabaldon's bestselling novels. The first additions to the cast in the second season have been announced. As 'Digital Spy' reports BORGIA superhunk Stanley Weber and Robert Cavanah have joined the show which has ended its first run this weekend turning from a rather monotonous and chaotic show with weak chemistry between the lead stars into a desperate parade of brutality, sex and blood. Robert Cavanah has been cast as Jamie Fraser's cousin Jared, who is a leading wine seller in France. Jamie and Claire will stay with Jared while they are in France trying to stop the Jacobite rebellion from ravaging Scotland. An encounter with Jared's chief competitor Le Comte St Germain (Stanley Weber) will lead to a new conflict for Claire.

As you've heard by now, Marvel had a big announcement yesterday revealing titles and dates for their superheroes flicks coming in next few years: ANTMAN with Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly is coming next year, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR with Chris Evans will arrive in 2016, DOCTOR STRANGE probably with Benedict Cucumberpatch too, and then 2017 will bring us GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY II, THOR: RAGNAROK with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston and BLACK PANTHER movie with Chadwick Boseman ! After that 2018 will bring us AVENGERS III: INFINITY WAR, INHUMANS and female led CAPTAIN MARVEL, with AVENGERS IV set for 2019 cinema release!

Chadwick Boseman has been announced yesterday as BLACK PANTHER, whose real name is T’Challa and is the heir to the ruling dynasty of the African kingdom Wakanda, and ritual leader of its Panther Clan. His senses and physical attributes have been enhanced to superhuman levels by the heart-shaped herb. He will first appear in CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR before getting his standalone movie.
