NEW SERIES THIS WEEK
SUMMERWATER WITH DOUGRAY SCOTT
I thought I should remind you of this week's new shows beginning with SUMMERWATER which starts tonight on Channel 4 set against the backdrop of a remote loch-side Scottish holiday cabin park and exploring the simmering tensions between holidaymakers that eventually erupt into a
devastating climax. Weaving together the lives of several families as they navigate unspoken conflicts, private dilemmas, and fleeting moments of beauty from their disparate cabins the story flashes back to dramatic events in key characters’ lives before their holiday which may have consequences in the present.

Prime Video has our dear Jack Whitehall as a manny in their new six episode thriller series MALICE which started this Friday. He plays a rather hot and charming tutor who infiltrates a wealthy family's life, revealing
a sinister agenda. As his vengeful plot unfolds, the family must confront the enemy living under their own roof. David Duchovny and Carice van Houten play the parents of the family.

DeleteLooking forward to Malice. Now that the shop is busy with holiday shoppers, I don't have much time to catch anything on my streamers, but thankfully mornings are fairly slow so I should be able to sneak an hour or two in before the crowd picks up.
ReplyDeleteHope you will do a nice photo of your festive goodies for the Facebook, would love to see the new collection.
DeleteI will post a video of our shop later this month once I finish setting up the holiday decorations. I hope to have them all done by next week. I had to stop at 2 different stores to get my garland because neither had the full sets that I needed.
DeleteOther shops must deem you a weirdo for decorating for Christmas in late November instead of late August LOL
DeleteActually, not here. If we start even before Thanksgiving, we hear "Isn't it too early for Christmas?" I think because we have Halloween and Thanksgiving to break things up, we don't look at Christmas the same way Europeans do. Like, I understand why Christmas is a bigger deal over there than it is here. We love our Christmas, don't get me wrong, but I don't think the anticipation of the holidays is as strong when you have other holidays to look forward to in the "ber" months.
DeleteCHristmas is not big at all here in my country because most people are not Catholic and celebrate the Orthodox one in January and it is not a consumerist holiday. New Year's is the biggest, but it is not really connected with any special decor.
DeleteI would love to watch SUMMERWATER! Finally the video is working again for me. The trailer of Summerwater is pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteI will watch that one and Malice too.
