SEE 1ST PICS OF JK SIMMONS AND SISSY SPACEK IN AMAZON'S NEW SF SERIES NIGHT SKY! SEE THE RAILWAY CHILDREN RETURN WW2 MOVIE TRAILER WITH SHERIDAN SMITH, TOM COURTENAY

  FIRST NIGHTSKY PHOTOS
A PEEK TO ANOTHER PLANET
Amazon Prime Video has released first photos from their May 20th series NIGHT SKY in which JK Simmons and Sissy Spacek play Irene and Franklin York, a couple who, years ago, found a chamber buried in their backyard which leads to a deserted planet. For years the couple has guarded their galactic secret, but when they meet a young man (Chai Hansen), their secret, and the life they have made together is upended. And the chamber that they have called their own turns out to be much more than they once thought.

 RAILWAY CHILDREN RETURN
FIRST TRAILER IS HERE
What I also have for you today is the first trailer and posters for World War II family movie THE RAILWAY CHILDREN RETURN which will arrive into cinemas
The movie arrives to UK this July
sometime later this year directed by Morgan Matthews. The cast includes Tom Courtenay, Sheridan Smith, John Bradley. Similarly to the 1960's television series and the 1970's classic family movie, this one will also follow a group of children who are evacuated to a Yorkshire village during the Second World War, where they encounter a young soldier who, like them, is far away from home. Since it follows the story from the original film, this one was also shot in all the original filming locations in Yorkshire. The film will be released July 15th in United Kingdom and Ireland and will then hit Australia August 25th. It comes from our favourite StudioCanal. Although this one isn't, the original movie was based on the popular book by British writer Edith Nesbit who died in the 1920's and also wrote Five Children and It, The Enchanted Castle and around 30 other children's classics.

  1. I would like to read this book and watch the film! Hopefully it isn't too sad of a movie. I can't imagine having to ship away my kids to someone else's care to keep them safe. Although, it's nothing compared to the kids who fell victim to the war..

    1. That is what Brits did during the war, shipped their kids off to village. I'm quite amazed by how organised they were even in WW1 and WW2 as we here did not have any instructions or help from the government even during the 90's wars and American bombing of my country in 99. They did not even tell us where to go when the bombs are falling LOL

  3. The Railway Children Return looks good. I don't think I'm in for the first one though, but it really doesn't sound too bad for sci fi.

    1. It is a rather original idea, I just don't like the cast, the two of them are as attractive to watch as watching paint dry.
