do tell us. I haven't seen it yet, but I will soon, and while you wait for next Sunday and the new episode, check out these lovely posters showing some of the main characters from HBO's planetary popular epic show. The posters show Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister (Love is Weakness), Emilia Clarke as the Dragon Queen Daenerys Tragaryen (I Will Take What Is Mine With Fire and Blood), Richard Madden as Robb Stark (The North Remembers), Kit Harrington as Jon Snow (I Am the Sword In The Darkness), Nikolaj Koster Waldau as Jaime Lannister (There are No Men Like Me). As we've seen in the first episode of the second season titled "The North Remembers" Tyrion
arrived to save Joffrey's crown from threats old and new, Daenerys searched for allies and water in the Red Waste while Jon Snow and the Nights Watch faced the wilderness beyond the Wall. A lot of the viewers did find "the leaping around from subplot to subplot a bit dizzying", did you think so? I remember how I was a bit confused with the first season, since I haven't read the George R.R. Martin's fantasy saga, so I hope the second season is going to be a bit more easy for us who face the story for the first time on the small screens. Don't forget to check out HOLLYWOOD SPY's SpotLight on the future projects of GAME OF THRONES stars and our SpotLight on the second season as well!
THE 11TH EPISODE
The new episode which awaits us next Sunday will be set in the wake ofa bloody purge in the capital, where Tyrion chastens Cersei for alienating the king’s subjects. On the road north, Arya shares a secret with Gendry, a Night’s Watch recruit. With supplies dwindling, one of Dany’s scouts returns with news of their position. After nine years as a Stark ward, Theon Greyjoy reunites with his father Balon, who wants to restore the ancient Kingdom of the Iron Islands. Davos enlists Salladhor Saan, a pirate, to join forces with Stannis and Melisandre for a naval invasion of King’s Landing. That last piece of info means we will finally see two new characters in the show :)
TOTAL REMAKE
I've posted a teaser for the upcoming remake of the science fiction classic from the 90's TOTAL RECALL a month ago, but now here's the full trailer, and it's super exciting and rather dynamic. Ready to premier in August, it is an action thriller about Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he's got a beautiful wife(Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police - controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world - Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.
I haven't seen Games of Thrones yet but I want to. Seems like it's a wonderful show.
ReplyDeleteoh, you should, Clarissa, they don't air it at all in Mexico?
DeleteLove the GOT posters. So cool.
ReplyDeleteLuanne, don't forget to drop by Sunday, I will have something you will deeply enjoy :)
DeleteHello Dezz! I haven't posted here in a while (how rude of me).
ReplyDeleteI see Game of Thrones became extremely popular. I myself consider this series to be one of the best TV series I've ever seen (or heard of). Too bad I have a misfortune of knowing what will become next in this series (having read the books years ago). Still, it can be interesting and entertaining even to those of us who already know what's going to happen.
A word of advice to those who didn't read the books. I don't consider this a spoiler, but if someone feels like skipping this next few sentences, please do so.
The story will progress much slower then most of us would expect. Please don't hold on to your favorite characters and their storylines. You will end up waiting for resolutions that may be years ahead (if they ever come at all). You may also end up disappointed that story didn't show that which you wanted to see. Still, there will be new stories, characters, and plot-twists that you may come to like, even if you never wanted them in a first place.
I also saw Total Recall full trailer today. Looks very promising. Better than I expected anyway. I haven't seen much of Colin Farrell before (although I liked him in Fright Night recently). But if Bill Nighy stars in this, it can't be all bad, can it? :) If nothing else, I would've seen this for Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel (in a single movie). :)
I like the look and feel of future seen in this film. Action scenes and special effects also look very good.
Oooh, Bels, pa 'di si ti? :) Missed you heaps!
DeleteKnowing you, I'm guessing you're not watching it Mondays on HBO Serbia but through Torrents :) Or did that change over time? :)
I also think TOTAL RECALL looks promising, and I love the trailer a lot. Beckinsale and Biel will be a huge huge geek magnet, since the two of them are THE most popular ladies in the geekosphere :)
Colin in bed, yes I have had this fantasy many times. He looks fabulous in this and I know he's not a great actor, but he's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm possibly the only one on Blogger who hasn't seen Game of Thrones because I don't have a telly. I'll have to search Netflix and get around to watching the first season on my computer sometime.
Thank you for the link to that song luv. You are right, our musical roots are the same. The pipe and violin almost identical to ours.
you did see his private film? Yes? No? :))))
DeleteHow come you don't have a telly? I thought you would have it for the hubs? No?
The violin in that song is the most enchanting part ever, when she appeared from the darkness on the stage and started the melody, tens of thousands of people in the Istanbul Arena in Turkey cheered like mad, it was an otherwordly experience and that song is still the most popular and most loved Eurovision song of all times in whole Europe.
PS the pipe is called caval in this case, a very ancient instrument, often used here in Serbia
DeleteWe are an odd pair of ducks with no telly. Hubby has a laptop computer that he uses to watch Netflix. I have one too. We just hate to spend all that money on cable when there's only a handful of things we'd watch anyway. I'm very thrifty and hate to waste money.
DeleteI got the other link to darling and thank you!! Gorgeous music.
I totally get you, Annzie. I watch only music channels on TV and nothing much else. I kinda like the idea of not having a TV especially with the people who have little kids, I think kids who grow up without the modern TV might grow up into very nice people.
DeleteGlad you liked the second song too :) She sings about a girl who doesn't want to wake up until her love comes back home.
Another nice thing about not having a telly is that when people come to visit, they talk and aren't distracted by whatever program is on. I hate it when I go to visit people and the telly is running the whole time. Visits are a time to interact with people, not with a squawking box.
DeleteI get that, although I do like to play TV when I have guests, since I love talking with them about songs and videos on music channels :)
DeleteI have to wait 'only' a week for GoT here in Oz. Yay.
ReplyDeleteAnd my, they've made Total Recall look perdy! I wasn't excited about the remake until I saw that trailer.
yay :) at least you will get, unlike some other shows :)
DeleteTOTAL REMAKE is totally perdy :) I swear it is :)
I'm with Lynda on this. I was skeptical until this trailer. Now...yes, I'd see it.
Deletethat's how a good trailer looks like :)
DeleteDad loved the original. I sent him the link to this one last night and got this message from him: "um.... holy crap......" High praise from him.
Deleteoooh, so the senior likes it? :) Even without Sharon Stone :)
DeleteI'm not sure how to feel on the total recall remake
ReplyDeleteyou no likey? :(
DeleteI'm so upset that I've missed out on what looks like a wonderful series. Thanks for keeping us in the know.
ReplyDeleteit's not too late, Kathi! You can always catch it on DVD :)
DeleteI just hope Game of Thrones survives the network politics...there are some points in the story that resulted in me refusing to read any more...
ReplyDeleteI hear you, G, I hear you, but as long as no horses die during the shooting, the show is safe :)
DeleteMy hubby is watching those series...I don't have the stomach for the gore...
ReplyDeleteThe trailer on TR looks so cool....I am so excited already ~
there's not much gore in it, there's much more in SPARTACUS :) but there are a lot of naked tities and dickies, but we do love that :)
DeleteTomorrow, I start disc 1 of season 1 of Games of Thrones. I can't believe there's a new Total Recall!!!!
ReplyDeletenew and great :)
DeleteI've never seen a Game of Thrones episode, but I plan to very soon!
ReplyDeleteyou might like it, Suzie!
DeleteI just finished watching GoT and wasn't disappointed at all. I can't wait to see Dany's character grow! I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet, but I love the character development and the twists and turns already.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what to think of a new Total Recall because I love the original so much...I'm waiting on the hubby to finish watching Grimm so we can watch the trailer together...
Dany is one of the main reasons to watch the show!
DeleteOh, I just love, love Dany and the story around her!
DeleteAnd, we watched the Total Recall trailer last night. Wow! I think I might actually be convinced to watch it LOL
ooh, glad you both liked the trailer :)
DeleteWell it has Beckinsale so I'll have to watch it. Here's hoping she kills Colin Farrell by the end of it, that would totally be worth have a remake recall.
ReplyDeleteOh you bad, bad Cat. Wishing death on Colin is treason I say! The Irish/Serbian Gossip Alliance already has you on it's list. Be careful where you step Cat, be careful where you step.
Deleteshe can't kill him, since she plays the wife, which means that they kill her :) But I could be convinced to torture Colin a bit in my own naughty ways while Annzie is not alert and watching :))))
DeleteLOL oh do I sense a rift in the alliance? Doing things behind each others back is how it starts, soon you'll both be vying for control. Over stupid Colin Farrell who must at least get shot sometime during the movie.
DeleteThere will never be a rift in the alliance cat!! You are simply being duped by our superior intelligence again. Naughty torture is not a bad thing cat. You we will torture in not so naughty ways!
DeleteCat doesn't know that small games are the essence of Irish/Serbian relationships :)
DeleteHe is so naive, oh, Annzie, we shall have such fun tormenting his tail and whiskers :)
total recall was one of my favorite movies growing up! arnie is going to be tough to replace, but i think it might be a good move to get someone completely different like ferrell
ReplyDelete'tis true, Jery! A change could refresh the film a lot! Especially with this young cast.
DeleteIt looks like it has plenty of action! That means I'm all for it...even though it has Jessica Biel and Colin Farrell. I'm not their biggest fans. Hmmm :)
ReplyDeleteyes, those two aren't the greatest of talents except in posing nude :)
Deletei think we have hbo for free tonight, so i'm going to try to catch this! we'll see...
ReplyDeletetell us how you liked it
DeleteI saw the new series last night and I loved it! So glad to see Joffrey getting slapped around again :)
ReplyDeleteJoffrey is such a prick, excuse my French.
DeleteOh god it is amazing to have Game of Thrones back on the screen!
ReplyDeleteThe first episode was awesome!
glad you liked it, Scottie
DeleteHmmm... Total Recall looks like it has potential...
ReplyDeleteit does, it does
DeleteI have to wait until Game of Thrones is out on DVD to see this second season. The first was incredible.
ReplyDeleteTotal Recall is definitely looking better than I thought.
we are so watching TOTAL REMAKE when it gets out :)
DeleteThanks for the great Game of Thrones posters! Don't know which one I like best. I'll take them all.
ReplyDeleteglad you liked them, Myri :) they're ever so perdy :)
DeleteHi Dezzy - The GAME OF THRONES posters are awesome! Total Recall with Kate? I may have to see it.
ReplyDeletethey totally are :)
DeleteONe day I will read and watch Game of Thrones. Everyone loves it!
ReplyDeleteThat Total Recall movie looks kick ass!
glad you liked the trailer, Kelso!
DeleteCant wait will have my DVR set!
ReplyDeleteset it, set it :)
DeleteStunning posters indeed!
ReplyDeleteglad you like them, Flixy!
DeleteWho needs mind trips when Beckinsale is lying your bed? And who needs a remake of Total Recall when there's Paul Verhoeven's Total Recall to remember? Why don't these Hollywood Bastards come up with new stuff? It's so typical of our modern times.... no content... just remakes. Sigh. i need that hug NOW.
ReplyDeleteone hug coming your way :) with a scent of pineapples, since I've just splashed my body with pineapple bodysplash :)
DeleteOh shhhhhh. What am I getting myself into this time! Where's Catman to rescue me when I need him! ;)
ReplyDeletehe's playing with a golden yarn I gave him to distract him, he is so easily distracted when you throw him something to play with :) And he likes shiny objects as if he's a crow :)
DeleteLena Headey looks seductive on the posters! I will include the Game of Thrones on my must-watch movie list.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear that, Grace :)
