TOM RILEY, RICHARD COYLE LEAD POST WW2 FASHION HOUSE SERIES 'THE COLLECTION'! SYFY'S 'WYNONNA EARP' SERIES GETS FIRST TRAILER

Here's a delight for us! Amazon is preparing new period set series THE COLLECTION set in a post WW2 fashion house with cast lead by our beloved Tom Riley and Richard Coyle! Written and executive produced by Oliver Goldstick (Desperate Housewives, Lipstick Jungle) the 8 part series tells the story of an illustrious Paris fashion house emerging from the dark days of the German occupation. Coyle will play couturier Paul Sabine, Frances de la Tour playing his formidable mother Yvette, Michelle Gomez a fashion editor. Tom Riley is Paul’s brother Claude, a hidden genius, and Mamie Gummer is Paul’s American ex-wife. James Cosmo is Jules Trouvier, the silent partner who bankrolls the Sabine.

Scheduled to hit the small screens next April, WYNNONA EARP  is decribed as a modern supernatural Western, in which the story revolves around Wyatt Earp’s great granddaughter Wynonna as she battles demons and other supernatural beings and uses her unique abilities and a dysfunctional posse of allies to bring the paranormal to justice. Some of her enemies in the comic book include redneck vampires, mummy hitmans, hillbilly gremlins and zombie mailmen!

SYFY REVEALS PROMO ART AND POSTERS FOR THEIR UPCOMING NEW EPIC SF SERIES 'VAN HELSING' AND 'WYNNONA EARP'

'VAN HELSING' TV SERIES

Promo art coming to you today for two of SyFy's upcoming new series! Both shows are to air probably Autumn next year with castings for the first one yet to start. VAN HELSING is coming from Neil LaBute, with a female hero! It will be told from the point of view of Dr Abraham Van Helsing's daughter Vanessa Helsing, who is resurrected five years into the future after a long sleep in the world that has been overrun by vampires, leaving Vanessa Helsing as the last hope for humanity's survival.
AGAINST VAMPIRES  
The 13 episodes will see her leading the Resistance across the Wasteland, in the former America, in search of the hole in the sky in Colorado because the uninterrupted sun there is as strong as the vampire's bite and they could harness its power to fight the vampires!  Along the way they will come across human fortresses and vampire strongholds - some friendly, most not.

The other one comes from the creators of KILLJOYS and it already has its cast! WYNONNA EARP will follow Wyatt Earp’s great granddaughter Wynonna as she battles demons and other supernatural beings and uses her unique abilities and a dysfunctional posse of allies to bring the paranormal to justice! Melanie Scrofano will play Wynonna, Tim Rozon is legendary con artist Doc Holliday, while Shamier Anderson is going to be the mysterious Agent Dolls.
AGAINST DEMONS    
After years on the run and in juvenile detention, Wynonna Earp is finally returning home. The only problem is no one back home wants her to return. But when she becomes the town's only hope of eradicating mysterious demons, Wynonna must choose which side of the law she wants to fight on in order to clear the name of her legendary great grandfather Wyatt Earp once and for all.

A lil' bit of science fiction for you today, starting with the news coming from SyFy: a month or two ago I informed you that they are turning WYNONNA EARP comic into a thirteen episode television series and now they have revealed the lead actors. Melanie Scrofano (Damien) will take the main role portraying Wynonna, Tim Rozon (Being Human) will take on the job of playing legendary con artist Doc Holliday, while Shamier Anderson (Defiance, Constantine) is going to be the mysterious Agent Dolls.

Speaking of SyFy, check out the longer, rather vivid and intriguing, trailer and character photos for their new science fiction space set series EXPANSE which will air this December as a ten episode space thriller set two hundred years in the future. The story follows the case of a missing young woman who brings a hardened detective (Thomas Jane) and a rogue ship's captain (Steven Strait) together in a race across the solar system to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history. Shohreh Aghdashloo also stars as the Deputy Undersecretary for the United Nations, Chrisjen Avasarala, a master of politics who achieved her position without a single vote cast in her name! Florence Faivre plays an heir to one of the most powerful corporations in the solar system, who knows the secrets of Earth! Wes Chatham plays ship's calm mechanic. Another new sf series to arrive to us in the future from SyFy is the small screen adaptation of Beau Smith's WYNONNA EARP graphic novel which has officially been greenlit by the channel into supernatural Western TV series!
She is a descendant of the famous lawman Wyatt Earp, and she's the top special agent for a special unit known as The Monster Squad. She battles such supernatural threats as Bobo Del Rey and his redneck, trailer-trash vampires that are pushing a new killer designer drug called "Hemo," and the Egyptian Mafia's mummy hitman, Raduk, Eater Of The Dead, who's out to do in all the other crime bosses. In her subsequent adventures she finished some outstanding Earp family business while dealing with Hillbilly Gremlins, and Zombie Mailmen alongside her fellow Marshalls.

ENCHANTING ADVENTURE
You can also check out the trailer for new animated movie SONG OF THE SEA!  In this enchanting new story from the Academy Award-nominated director of The Secret of Kells, Ben and his little sister Saoirse, the last Seal-child, must embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea. The film takes inspiration from the mythological Selkies of Irish folklore, who live as seals in the sea but become humans on land.

Speaking of Irish, 'The Hollywood Reporter' has released the first stills from Irish medieval movie PILGRIMAGE starring Jon Bernthal, Richard Armitage and Tom Holland. The film from Brendan Muldowney centres on a group of monks who undertake a pilgrimage to transport their monastery's holiest relic to Rome. When the true significance of the relic is revealed, the journey becomes much more treacherous, and the group's faith and loyalty to one another are tested. Bernthal plays a mute brother with a violent past. Armitage portrays a misanthropic knight with whom the monks are forced to share their journey. Holland plays the entry character of the story, a pious young novice. Stanley Weber also stars!
