May 1960. Mount Everest, the second step under the cliff. The four
members of the China Everest Climbing squad are attacking the most
difficult "second step". This is their fifth assault. The first four
failures have
cost them too much physical strength ... finally, the wind

CLIMBING WITHOUT OXYGEN
Based on events of the first successful expedition to climb the summit of Mt Qomolangma using the treacherous north route from Tibet in China in 1960.
The trio who reached the summit on 25th May 1960 were the first climbers to do so without any supplement oxygen when it ran out and they became the 7th, 8th and 9th summiteers of Everest.
