A bunch of new movie images for you today, starting with
Gabriel Byrne as Samuel Beckett in
DANCE FIRST biopic on the
Waiting for Godot writer. With him as the famous Irish playwright,
Aidan Gillen plays James Joyce.
Maxine Peake also stars and
Sandrine Bonnaire too as his wife. The story

covers various phases in Beckett’s life from Parisian bon vivant, to World War II Resistance fighter, Nobel Prize-winning playwright, philandering husband and recluse.
Its focus, however, is on Beckett’s reaction to winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969, which was a turning point in his life as he grappled with his own inner demons.

proper job. Through the process, Gabrielle revisits past lives
and immerses herself in buried memories from 1910 and 2014, where she
reunites with Louis

George MacKay), her great love. While their bond
has transcended lifetimes and eras, it’s also at the root of her
premonition that something tragic will happen. Beside Venice, the movie
will also hit Toronto, New York and London film festivals.
WORLD WAR 2 SET IRENA'S VOW
There are also first two images from World War Two set movie
IRENA'S VOW coming from director
Louise Archambault and with
Dougray Scott in the lead role. The movie will premiere September 10th at
Toronto
Film Festival following the life of 19-year-old Irena Gut (
Sophie Nélisse), a housekeeper at the home of a high-ranking Nazi officer in Poland who hides a dozen Jewish workers in the basement of the German major’s house after

she learns that the Jewish ghetto is about to be liquidated.
The story is based on the true life of Polish nurse Irene Gut Opdyke who was awarded the Righteous Among the Nations medal for showing remarkable courage in her attempt to save Polish Jews during World War II.
