She plays an English aristocrat, Lady Sarah Ashley who travels halfway across the world to confront her wayward husband and sell an unusual asset: a million-acre cattle ranch in the Australian Outback called Faraway Downs. Following the death of her husband, a ruthless Australian cattle baron, King Carney (Bryan Brown), plots to take her land and she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle drover (Jackman) to protect her ranch. The sweeping adventure romance is explored through the eyes of young Nullah (Brandon Walters), a bi-racial Indigenous Australian child caught up in the government’s draconian racial policy now referred to as the “Stolen Generations.”

Shuggie Bain is being adapted by BBC
winner SHUGGIE BAIN is being turned into a series over at BBC. It tells the story of a young boy and his relationship with his alcoholic mother in 1980s Glasgow. Sold in almost 40 countries, it is a love story between mother Agnes Bain and her gay son Shuggie.
It details Agnes' descent into despair and her struggles with alcoholism following the breakdown of her marriage.
While most of her children are driven away by her deterioration, Shuggie remains to help while suffering huge personal problems of his own. The novel was inspired by Stuart's own childhood in Glasgow during the Margaret Thatcher era after father left his mother.

A couple of adaptations today, beginning with Justin Baldoni who will direct the movie adaptation of Coleen Hoover's IT ENDS WITH US with Blake Lively as s girl named Lily who has just moved and is ready to start her life after college. Lily then meets a guy named Ryle and she falls for him. As she is developing feelings for Ryle, Atlas, her first love, reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle. Baldoni will also star in his film.
THE PERFECT NANNY AT HBO WITH NICOLE KIDMAN
Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman is returning to HBO where she will star, together with Maya Erskine, in the six episode TV series adaptation of THE PERFECT NANNY from Leila Slimani. Now Sony Pictures has set Jon Croker to adapt the novel series which follows a thirteen year old boy whose dreams of becoming a unicorn rider are disrupted when an emerging enemy steals the land’s most powerful unicorn. It was the biggest known deal for a children's debut book.

BEING THE RICARDOS will arrive to Amazon Prime December 21st! The film, which also sees Javier Bardem playing her husband Desi Arnaz, shows the audience a week in the lives' of Lucy and Desi on the set of their famous sitcom I Love Lucy. It was a week of events that nearly cost them everything. The film was both written and directed by Aaron Sorkin who gave himself certain artistical freedoms while depicting the couple.

Ansel plays New Yorker Theo Decker whose life was turned upside down when he was just thirteen years old and when his mother was killed in a terrorist attack at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and, confused, in the rubble of the tragedy, he steals a priceless piece of art known as The Goldfinch. The movie follows his life following this turn of events and the loss of his mother. The Goldfinch will sing this October!
