According to Deadline, Hulu is preparing a new comedy pilot titled DOWNFORCE which follows Victoria (Eve Hewson), the estranged daughter of a storied racing team’s owner, Sir Trevor (Murray Bartlett), who is thrust back into the family business, leaving the pair to find common ground or risk destroying the team’s legacy. Sir Trevor is  the team’s larger-than-life founder and owner. Victoria is a shrewd and ruthless investment banker who finds her way back into the front office. She knows business, he knows racing, and together they have to figure out the business of racing after years apart.

winner SHUGGIE BAIN is being turned into a series over at BBC. It  tells the story of a young boy and his relationship with his alcoholic mother in 1980s Glasgow. Sold in almost 40 countries, it is a love story between mother Agnes Bain and her gay son Shuggie. It details Agnes' descent into despair and her struggles with alcoholism following the breakdown of her marriage. While most of her children are driven away by her deterioration, Shuggie remains to help while suffering huge personal problems of his own. The novel was inspired by Stuart's own childhood in Glasgow during the Margaret Thatcher era after father left his mother.

Something that was met with mostly negative reactions today around the web is info that Noah Centineo is wanted for the lead role in the epic movie adaptation of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE in which he would play Prince Adam who turns into He-Man. The movie was previously supposed to be made in a very rich and epic Lord of the Rings style by David S. Goyer but he left the project which is now being directed by Aaron and Adam Nee. Noah Centineo is only known for starring in Netflix comedies To All the Boys I've Loved Before and How to Build a Better Boy! Adam, the prince of Eternia is a blond haired muscly mediaeval Nordic type of hunk with a massive sword in the comic books and animated movie, so no one knows why they've opted for a very dark type as Centineo.

In this one, they're blatantly trying to turn the story upside down and depict Robin as some kind of hood rat and street gangsta. They obviously don't care that someone tried that with King Arthur recently and it flopped miserably. THE REST OF THE MERRY GANG

Directed by Otto Bathurst (mostly known for celebrating criminals and gangsters in his work, as in Peaky Blinders and now this one), the movie also stars ladies' fave Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlet, the half-brother of Robin Hood, a member of Merry Men and the husband of Marian who is played by Eve Hewson (Susan Sarandon's daughter) and who obviously won't mind being also Robin's love interest. Ben Mendelsohn portrays Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood's infamous enemy. Tim Minchin is Friar Tuck, Paul Anderson is Guy of Gisborne! Bathurst wanted Taron in the lead role so much that he even postponed the beginning of production to fit the actor's schedule. Jack Huston, Nicholas Hoult and Jack Reynor also auditioned for the role. In the film, Robin Hood uses the ancient techniques of speed shooting from the draw hand and the double draw! Unlike the previous 2010 Robin Hood with Russell Crowe which lasted two and a half hours, this one will be a bit shorter than two hours.

I'm not exactly sure why they're trying to stuff him everywhere these days, he could certainly use a bit more charisma and acting chops, but, according to Hollywood Reporter, it seems Timothee Chalamet is in talks to star in the new adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal science fiction saga DUNE. He is, apparently, supposed to play young Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve directed movie. Don't know about you, but this cast would make me lose interest in the project.

DUNE, set in the far future amidst a sprawling feudal interstellar empire where planetary dynasties are controlled by noble houses that owe an allegiance to the imperial House Corrino, tells the story of young Paul Atreides (the son of Duke Leto Atreides and heir of House Atreides) as he and his family accept control of the desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the 'spice' melange, the most important and valuable substance in the cosmos which gives its users heightened consciousness and an extended lifespan.
