NEW BOOK ADAPTATIONS: HOUSE OF HUDSON HISTORICAL SERIES ON THE FOUNDATION OF CANADA, AND NETHER STATION AND NETHER VORTEX SF MOVIES FROM PAUL W.S. ANDERSON

  NEW BOOK ADAPTATIONS

RISE AND FALL OF HUDSON BAY EMPIRE

The book will be turned into a TV series

As Deadline reports, Canadian Titan1Studios will develop HOUSE OF HUDSON historical series based on Stephen R. Bown‘s historical book The Company: The Rise and Fall of the Hudson’s Bay Empire. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the 1820s, the story of the series will be exploring the bloody war of attrition between the Hudson’s Bay Company and its hyper-violent rival, the North West Company, culminating in their forced corporate merger and the ruthless rise of Sir George Simpson, the cold-blooded governor known as ‘The Little Emperor.' The story will shift between the opulent, scheming boardrooms of London and Montreal and the unforgiving wilderness.

NETHER STATION & NETHER VORTEX

A completely different, but also epic genre will be Paul W.S. Anderson's movie adaptations of sf books NETHER STATION and NETHER VORTEX by Kevin J. Anderson. The novels follow Cammie Skoura, a brilliant, neurodivergent young scientist aboard a deep-space expedition that uncovers a trail of ancient ruins and long-dead alien civilizations leading toward a mind-shattering discovery. The filmmaker is known for his adaptations of Resident Evil games.
