New series starts this June on Netflix

I already announced last year that Sam Worthington will lead Netflix TV series adaptation of Harlan Coben's I WILL FIND YOU and today we have the first images from the new show in which he stars as David Burroughs, an innocent father serving a life sentence for the murder of his own son, a crime he didn’t commit, yet a tragedy he punishes himself for every day. When David receives evidence that his child may still be alive, he must break out of prison to find out the truth. Milo Ventimiglia is joining him in the cast as a man from prominent Boston family who finds purpose in working for his family’s philanthropic foundations. Britt Lower, Logan Browning, Erin Richards will also star as a reporter, an FBI investigator, and as David's ex wife, a pediatric surgeon. Jonathan Tucker will play his best friend. The 18th of June has been revealed as the starting date when the streaming of the series will be available. We're talking all Netflix today, starting with the news coming from 'Variety' that Justin Theroux has joined Paul Rudd and Alexander Skarsgard in their sf movie MUTE! To be directed by Warcraft helmer Duncan Jones the movie will see Skarsgard portraying a mute bartender in Berlin, 40 years in the future in what has become a roiling city of immigrants, where East crashes against West. His character will be looking for a woman who has disappeared — and when his search takes him deep into the city’s underbelly, an odd pair of American surgeons seem to be the only recurring clue.

'GILMORE GIRLS' FINAL SEASON

A treat for the ladies, today! Netflix has released the first four posters for their farewell four episodes for legendary GILMORE GIRLS series which will start airing all of its four new and last ever episodes from November 25th with each episode done in a form of a hour and a half long television episode set in four different seasons, so you will follow the important moments in Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) and Rory's (Alexis Bledel) lives in a spring, summer, autumn and winter setting (hence the title A YEAR IN LIFE), nine years after we last saw the events in Stars Hollow. As you know Lorelai is probably getting back together with Luke, Rory is pursuing her career in politics, and rumour has it one of them might be expecting a baby, but it might just be a rumour!

OLD CAST IS BACK
It is interesting that all of the original cast members are returning for the finale from Lorelai's best friend and business partner Sookie played by Melissa McCarthy to her love played by Scott Patterson, her mother played by Kelly Bishop, Rory's friends played by Keiko Agena and Lisa Weil and the trio of her old boyfriends played by Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry and Jared Padalecki! Yanic Truesdale returns as Lorelai's concierge.

We're still sticking to the TV world today, people, starting with the news coming from Netflix where Joel Kinnaman has been cast to lead the new sf series ALTERED CARBON! It will be produced by AVATAR's Laeta Kalogridis, directed by GOT's Miguel Sapochnik based on Richard Morgan's bestseller.

25TH CENTURY EARTH

The story is set in the 25th century when the human mind has been digitized and the soul is transferable from one body to the next. Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman), a former elite interstellar warrior known as an Envoy who has been imprisoned for 500 years, is downloaded into a future he’d tried to stop. If he can solve a single murder in a world where technology has made death nearly obsolete, he’ll get a chance at a new life on Earth.

NBC has, meanwhile, also released a trailer for another of the new series they've picked up this weekend. THIS IS US will star  Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Justin Hartley and Sterling K. Brown as people who are all born on the same day. It comes from Dan Fogelman whose GALAVANT has just been cancelled at ABC.

Just some TV news for you today, people! Just when we thought we're done with early 20th century England on TV with the end of DOWNTON ABBEY, the era will return to the small screen through BBC's latest order: a new TV drama based on HOWARD'S END novel by E. M. Forster! As 'Deadline' reports, Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award nominated screenwriter and playwright Kenneth Lonergan is penning the series which explores the changing landscape of social and class divisions in early 20th century England through the prism of three families: the intellectual and idealistic Schlegels, the wealthy Wilcoxes from the world of business, and the working class Basts.

This time titled THE WAR OF THE ROSES it will bring lavish adaptations of 'Henry VI', Parts I and II, and 'Richard III' describing rebellion in France, Civil War in England, rise and fall of Joan Of Arc! Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Tom Sturidge will be wearing crowns together with the supporting cast which includes Hugh Bonneville, Keeley Hawes and Sally Hawkins!

CASTS JUSTIN HARTLEY, MANDY MOORE, MILO VENTIMIGLIA

Over in USA, NBC is rounding up the cast for Dan Fogelman's (GALAVANT) so called BIRTHDAY dramedy series following eight leading characters who were all born on the same day! As 'Variety' reports the pilot of the potential one hour series has already gathered up some well known young faces for the cast including HEROES' and GILMORE GIRLS' Milo Ventimiglia, pop star Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, Sterling Brown and Ron Cephas Jones. Ventimiglia and Moore will be a couple just moved into their new home in Pittsburg and expecting triplets. REVENGE's Hartley will be handsome and successful television actor with an underlining boredom in his ultimate bachelor life.
