Peacock has set stream date and first look at their new six episode thriller THE GOOD DAUGHTER which will start November 12th and will also stream on Stan in Australia. Based on the novel by Karin Slaughter, the drama centers on sisters Charlotte (Meghann Fahy) and Samantha (Rose Byrne), who have spent the last 20 years trying to piece together the
lives that were fractured by a single night of violence. When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte, a lawyer like her father, is the first witness on the scene. As the case unfolds and twists through painful memories and buried secrets, what emerges is not just a story of survival, but of enduring ties between a father, his daughters and the complex bond between sisters. Brendan Gleeson, Jake McDorman and Olivia Williams also star.

DeleteI'm glad to see Rose Byrne in a role like this. I've always thought she's a very versatile actress, and together with Meghann Fahy, the pairing looks very promising. Stories centered on complicated family relationships can be especially compelling when they're well done. I'm definitely adding this one to my watchlist because the premise sounds really good. A special big hug today, and have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Meghann, she is so lovely and charismatic, wish she would star in more leading roles, especially on film. Returning the hug! We will spend our weekend working as usually in our secret spying headquarters.

ReplyDeleteIt's rather hot over here too. Now it's probably 32C..but that's just for a couple of hours. At night it's cool and we still don't need any ventilator.
More for adults than Netflix which seems to make shows for kids and stupid people LOL
DeleteWe are having two or three days of milder weather with 10C at night which is perfect for me to cool down the house as it was almost 26C inside due to heat outside that we had in last two weeks, but it should be hot again next week, sadly. I did use AC three times last week as I live under the roof.
