Well, the cast sure is stellar: Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett and Toni Collette lead the ensemble of NIGHTMARE ALLEY noir thriller that also includes Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Mary Steenburgen, and David Strathairn! Tim Blake Nelson and Italian music legend Romina Power also star. Most of them are Academy Awards winners or nominees. The movie itself is a big screen adaptation of the novel by the same name by William Lindsay Gresham which was published in 1946. I don't care much for him either. He's got an arrogant vibe that comes off of him that I just don't like. Reminds me of the asshole football players that always thought they were cream of the crop in high school.
He does? I've always had quite an opposite impression of him, but you probably know him better as you follow your talk shows. When he is here in Europe, he is always kind, smart and well behaved and polite too.
Ooof, 2.5 hours means I'll either skip it or watch it in segments because I just can't sit through a movie that long these days anymore. I always fall asleep, no matter how good it is.
