The airing dates for this one are getting closer and closer, people! Why dates in plural? Because for the first time ever Netflix has decided to split THE WITCHER into two parts, so the first batch of season three's eight episodes will stream from June 29th (five episodes) and then the other part from July 27th! And, yes, this is the last season with Henry Cavill in the lead role of Geralt the Witcher, after that season four will have Liam Hemsworth in the lead role, if they do not cancel it of course in the meantime due to the backclash from the audience who are not happy with Henry leaving and with the producers turning the

adaptation into a garbage. 

 

  In the upcoming season three, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers! Instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.

 

THE THIRD SEASON  

is also loosely based on Andrzej Sapkowski's books although fans have been angry with the producers for changing too much and rumour has it that Cavill has left the project for the same reason and for the bad writing which really has been godawful so far. Cavill now has a Warhammer series to lead and he has also been announced as the new Highlander. So is expected to lead two new epic adventure series while Netflix is left to save what is there to save from the poorly written Witcher adaptation. Joey Batey, Bard Edwards, Mimi Ndiweni, Eamon Farren, MyAnna Buring, Wilson Mbomio and Tom Canton are also set to return in Season 3. New arrivals are Robbie Amell as Gallatin, a born fighter who leads an army of guerrilla Scoia’tael fighting on behalf of Nilfgaard, and Hugh Skinner as Prince Radovid, a royal playboy and younger brother to King Vizimir. With his good looks and often drunken charm, Radovid surprises with how incisive he can be in matters of politics, but it’s all games until someone gets hurt.

 FIRST SCARBORN IMAGES  

FROM NEW POLISH EPIC FILM

We are back again in the international waters with the first images from Polish historical epic movie SCARBORN (Kos) scheduled for October release. Movie begins in the spring of 1794. General Tadeusz 'Kos' Kosciuszko (Jacek Braciak) returns to Poland, which plans to start an uprising against the Russians, mobilizing the Polish nobility and peasants to do so. He is accompanied by a faithful friend and former slave, Domingo (Jason Mitchell). Russian captain, Dunin (Robert Wieckiewicz) wants to capture the general at all costs before he causes a national rebellion. At the same time, a young peasant, Ignac (Bartosz Bielenia), a noble bastard, dreams of being given his coat of arms and property by his illegitimate parent, Duchnowski (Andrzej Seweryn), who includes him in his will just before his death. When the father dies, the boy has to run away from his half-brother, Stanislaw (Piotr Pacek), who does not want to let his father's will be realized. Ignac steals the will and has only two days to appear in court with it and prove his knighthood. During the escape, Ignac meets Domingo on his way, and a strong bond of understanding is formed between the men, even though they both do not know each other's language. Together, they go to the Colonel's Wife manor (Agnieszka Grochowska), where Kosciuszko is hiding, waiting for negotiations with the magnates. Kos is distrustful of Ignac and keeps him under arrest, but at the decisive moment it is in the hands of an inconspicuous noble bastard who will lay the fate of the uprising. When the moment of trial comes, Ignac will have to choose - whether to continue following his coat of arms dream and his father's legacy, or to join Kosciuszko's "Kos" and fight with him for the highest stakes. Given that Viaplay is a co-producer, the film might stream on it in Nordic countries.

Blood Origin arrives this Christmas

While fans of The Witcher franchise are still reeling from the shock after Henry Cavill has left the show and will give up the lead role to Liam Hemsworth after season three which should arrive sometime next summer, Netflix is counting on the prequel series WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN to save that ship from sinking. Well, judging by the trashy and cheap looking long new trailer they probably should not raise their hopes too high, but you can check it out below together with new poster for the four episode epic

The new show will have just four episodes

adventure series that arrives to the streamer at Christmas December 25th. One thing that the new trailer has revealed is that the annoying minstrel Jaskier will be present in this series as well as the narrator. 

 

IN THE SHOW

 Sophia Brown is Éile, a warrior of the Queen's guard who leaves to become a traveling musician. Michelle Yeoh as Scian, the last member of a nomadic tribe of sword-elves on a mission to retrieve a blade stolen from her people, and Laurence O'Fuarain as Fjall, a man born into a clan of warriors sworn to protect a king, but instead sets out in need of vengeance! The show set 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher television series will depict the creation of the first Witcher, as well as the events leading to the "Conjunction of the Spheres". It will also explore the ancient Elven civilization before its demise.

WHO IS IN THE CAST?

Meanwhile, the godawful Minnie Driver, who looks as sorely miscast as the rest of the team, will star as Seanchaí, a shapeshifting storyteller with the ability to travel between worlds and times. Mirren Mack is Princess Merwyn; Francesca Mills is Meldof, Zach Wyatt and Lizzie Annis are celestial twins Syndril and Zacaré. Huw Novelli is Brother Death. Mark Rowley is King Alvitir, Daniel Fathers and Faoileann Cunningham star as Osfar and his daughter Ryl. Kim Adis is Merwyn’s handmaid Ket, Nathaniel Curtis portrays Brían, Dylan Moran is Uthrok One-Nut and Hebe Beardsall is the lowborn Catrin. Ella Schrey-Yeats portrays the young prophet Ithlinne and her mother Aevenien is played by Claire Cooper. Jacob Collins Levy should also star.   To start shooting in Turkey this January, the movie, inspired by real events, will chart UK PM Winston Churchill’s and James Bond scribe Ian Fleming’s secret WWII combat organization. The clandestine squad’s unconventional and entirely ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques against the Nazis helped change the course of the war and in part gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit. Based on war correspondent and military historian Damien Lewis’ popular book of the same name, the movie will also feature a whole gallery of colourful characters.

Speaking of Henry, Netflix has just confirmed that he will be leaving their THE WITCHER epic TV series after season three that has already been shot, and Liam Hemsworth will take over the role in season four. Season three is returning next summer. Here is what Cavill said: "In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam's take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find."

The show will arrive this Christmas

BLOOD ORIGIN will arrive as your Christmas present December 25th! Set 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher series, the six-episode Blood Origin will focus on how the first Witcher was created and the events that lead to the pivotal conjunction of the spheres, when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one. Minnie Drives has been announced as the new addition to the cast led by Michelle Yeoh, Laurence O’Fuarain, and Sophia Brown, who all play warrior elves. The godawful Driver will meanwhile play a Seanchai, a shapeshifting collector of old lore with the abilities to travel between time and worlds. You can also check out the first poster for the new epic series and also a new photo of Michelle Yeoh in the costume of her character. The original Witcher series, meanwhile, returns with season 3 next summer.

  VIKINGS: VALHALLA

Tudum has also brought us an exciting first teaser for the second season of VIKINGS: VALHALLA epic series which will return sometime next year and the teaser gives us a look at  our heroes Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett) and Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), as they make a desperate last stand against Olaf and his warriors! And, yes, there are some mighty fireballs coming from the sky to save them in the last moment! The series already has third season ordered as well!

Although it will arrive in March next year, Netflix has shown the first teaser over at Tudum event for the second season of their fantasy series SHADOW AND BONE which is set in the fictional land of Ravka, where teenage orphan Alina has the power of light with which she can stop the dark forces led by Ben Barnes. Beside Heirs to the Land which arrives tomorrow, another non English series comes to Netflix this month: April 20th will bring us YAKAMOZ S-245 Turkish series starring their hunkiest star Kivanc Tatlitug. Free-spirited dive instructor and marine biologist Arman is set to join in a research mission aboard a submarine. However, when the sun starts killing everyone up above, Arman and his science crew need to get onboard a military sub to survive. It is interesting that the series has already been renewed for a second season. It will follow episodic adventures of the Enterprise’s original crew long before James T. Kirk was captain.
