almost twenty years, as London reels from the devastating suicide bomb attacks of 7 July 2005. Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair (Conleth Hill) launches a large-scale counter terrorism operation to prevent further attacks with Assistant Commissioner Andy Hayman (Max Beesley) leading the investigation into the bombings. Unbeknownst to them, another terrorist cell plots an assault that could equal the devastation of 7/7. This second set of planned attacks fails, setting off one of the UK's largest ever manhunts and sparking a covert surveillance operation led by Commander Cressida Dick (Emily Mortimer). As tension and uncertainty rises across the nation, a series of extraordinary events unfolds, and the actions of the Metropolitan Police leads to a critical misidentification. Jean Charles de Menezes, an innocent young Brazilian electrician on his way to work, is mistaken for a terrorist and fatally shot at Stockwell station. In the wake of these tragic events, Independent Police Complaints Commission secretary Lana Vandenberghe (Laura Aikman) makes a life changing decision, and Deputy Assistant Commissioner Brian Paddick (Russell Tovey), in a police force engulfed by crisis, fights for the truth to prevail. What follows is a family's fight for justice and answers, and a long-fought struggle to bring clarity to a situation clouded by disinformation.

DISNEY PLUS NEW SERIES SUSPECT: THE SHOOTING OF JEAN CHARLES DE MENEZES

As Deadline reports, our dearest Russell Tovey has joined the cast of Disney Plus new true story series SUSPECT: THE SHOOTING OF JEAN CHARLES DE MENEZES which describes the tragic shooting of an innocent man mistaken for a terrorist in London bombings twenty years ago. Edison Alcaide will play De Menezes whose death happened around two weeks after 7/7 following a second set of planned attacks, which failed but set off a manhunt. The Brazilian electrician was mistakenly shot by police at a London underground station, leading to protests, introspection over shoot-to-kill policies and fierce criticism of the Metropolitan Police. Russell Tovey will also star alongside Conleth Hill, Max Beesley, Emily Mortimer, Daniel Mays, Laura Aikman and Alex Jennings. Mortimer and Hill will play police chiefs.

Joe O’Loughlin (Aidan Turner), who appears to have the perfect life – a devoted wife, a loving daughter, successful practice as a clinical psychologist, media profile and a publishing deal. He’s even a hero online after rescuing a young patient who was ready to jump from the tenth floor of the hospital where Joe works. When a young woman is found in a shallow grave in a West London cemetery, veteran police officer DI Vincent Ruiz and his young partner DS Riya Devi are assigned to the investigation. But has the young woman been murdered or is this a case of suicide? As a successful author, Doctor Joe’s opinion is much sought after and when he meets DS Devi he’s only too willing to offer help with profiling and his expertise. Now known for his risk-taking and rule-breaking does Joe have more to hide? His recent diagnosis with a debilitating illness could explain his behaviour. But as the investigation into Catherine’s death gathers pace, we start to ask, do we know the real Joe, or does he have a secret life? And has his work as a clinical psychologist allowed him to develop a criminal mindset? Or worse? In USA it will air on AMC Plus and Sundance Now November 3rd.

Speaking of Aidan Turner don't forget that his historical series LEONARDO finally arrives to USA August 16th at CW after airing in Europe almost two years ago. The series recounts Leonardo da Vinci's extraordinary life through the works that made him famous, through the stories hidden within those works, revealing little by little the inner torment of a man obsessed with attaining perfection. Although watchable, that series was completely massacred by the hideously atrocious acting of Freddie Highmore in it, so watch it only if you can stomach his lack of any talent and his horridly wimpy voice. James D'Arcy also star as famous count Ludovico Sforza of Milan.
