RUSSELL TOVEY CAST IN
DISNEY PLUS NEW SERIES SUSPECT: THE SHOOTING OF JEAN CHARLES DE MENEZES
As Deadline reports, our dearest Russell Tovey has joined the cast of Disney Plus new true story series SUSPECT: THE SHOOTING OF JEAN CHARLES DE MENEZES which describes the tragic shooting of an innocent man mistaken for a terrorist in London bombings twenty years ago. Edison Alcaide will play De Menezes whose death happened around two weeks after 7/7 following a second set of planned attacks, which failed but set
off a manhunt. The Brazilian electrician was mistakenly shot by police at a London underground station, leading to protests, introspection over shoot-to-kill policies and fierce criticism of the Metropolitan Police. Russell Tovey will also star alongside Conleth Hill, Max Beesley, Emily Mortimer, Daniel Mays, Laura Aikman and Alex Jennings. Mortimer and Hill will play police chiefs.

Tragedy...3 terror attacks in half an year here in Germany...last one was last week and a teenager boy was killed and plenty of wounded...I don't and can't really blame the British police in the series...
ReplyDeleteYes, I have seen the one in Munich last week. But unlike your country, here in mine the students protesting against the injustice are being mowed down by cars in the streets by the mobsters supported by our dictator president. So we are being mowed down by our own government not by terrorists.
DeleteWould you also not blame the British police if it was a woman that they shot down?
Sounds like an every day occurrence for the US though. While I do support our officers, I do fear that with Trump and Musk's hateful rhetoric in the past month, it's going to embolden the police to shoot first, ask questions later. Citizen are already spouting off nasty comments about people with non-white skin, those with disabilities, lgbtq+, women who are seeing their rights slowly stripped away.... These are scary times we are living in. And while Kamala was not the candidate we needed, I'm disgusted more and more each day with our government, who pay our officers.
ReplyDeleteHe is defo going crazy especially as Google and social networks are catering now to him. How can you cancel Pride Month, I don't get it?
