Hitting Netflix February 27th is a true case series about a whole town poisoned TOXIC TOWN which will stream in four episodes with some well
known British names in the cast including Jodie Whitaker, Robert Carlyle, Rory Kinnear, Joe Dempsie, Michael Socha and Brendan Coyle. Based on the real-life story of one of the UK’s biggest environmental scandals, TOXIC TOWN is the story of the people at the heart of the Corby poisonings. Focusing on the mothers, who took on a David and Goliath battle for justice, the series traces through the years of their fight as a terrible truth comes to the surface. In this tragic true case, industrial waste from steel-working industry led to massive birth defects among the babies born in the town. A group of mothers 
whose children had developed birth defects confronted their town’s leadership about its alleged mismanagement of toxic waste materials. The case was largely hidden in media and press and most people don't even know about it.

ReplyDeleteIt is so scary when we think of all that has been covered up in history... and even in reality, for example, my country has been in street revolution and revolts for three months now and nobody in the west is reporting on it as if it is not even happening even though all our schools and colleges along with lawyers are in full strike and blockade.
DeleteHorrible...human lives are in danger and they are trying to cover it up. I like Jodie Whitaker, but we were quite disappointed her role as Dr. Who..
ReplyDeleteYes, she is quite a terrible actress, they should have found someone with acting talent for this one, she is as bland as a white piece of paper.
DeleteSounds like an Erin Brockovich-like movie. I did like that one and will probably like this one as well.
