More than sixty years after Hitchcock's legendary horror movie THE BIRDS are getting a mini TV series adaptation with Sarah Snook as the lead and Tom Spezialy penning the scripts for Universal International Studios. She is set to play a traveling magistrate Myra Massey as she returns to her isolated Alaskan hometown for a routine presumptive death hearing, expecting a simple cold case. Instead, she finds her childhood friend’s bullet-ridden body. When Myra is forced to step outside her role as judge to untangle the mystery, nature itself turns hostile with a wave of bird attacks. Now, Myra isn’t just trying to close a case, she’s fighting to survive in a place where death lurks in both the shadows and the skies.

series SOULMATES, starting Monday, October 5th, will have a new set of actors in each new episode! This anthology series will wryly examine the nature of romantic love, written by Emmy Award winner Will Bridges (Black Mirror).
 
     Soulmates is set 15 years into the future, when science has made a discovery that changes the lives of everyone on the planet – a test that unequivocally tells you who your soulmate is. In a first-ever format for AMC, each of the six episodes will feature a different cast and explore an entirely new story around discovering (or opting not to discover) the results of this new test and the impact of those results on a myriad of relationships.

WHO WILL PLAY THE SOULMATES?
In one of the episodes, Malin Akerman will play Martha, who has bounced from bad relationship to bad relationship, but is now putting her trust in the test and a church, which helps those whose soulmates have already passed on.

As Hollywood Reporter informs, Sarah Snook (who was nominated for an Emmy for her role in Succession TV series and we watched her in Kate Winslet's amazing Australian movie Dressmaker) will lead new movie version of her final novel PERSUASION
To be directed by Mahalia Belo, it is a romance of second chances, telling the story of Anne Elliot who, many years after refusing the proposal of young naval officer Frederick Wentworth, finds herself navigating the waters of English society when Wentworth returns from war a wealthy and decorated captain.
