Starting its cinematic life in Northern American theatres November 2nd and then moving around the world throughout the winter to reach Russia in March, is touching drama BOY ERASED based on the memoirs by Garrard Conley. It is written and directed by Joel Edgerton who also stars in the movie next to Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Lucas Hedges who takes the lead role of the son of a Baptist preacher who is forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion program after being forcibly outed to his parents. Russell and Nicole, Australians who have never worked together before, play his parents. Most states in America still haven't banned gay conversion therapy!
Well, this could be a powerful female drama. The English language remake of Danish drama Silent Heart, now titled BLACKBIRD has cast Diane Keaton, Kate Winslet and Mia Wasikowska in the lead roles!
Directed by Notting Hill's helmer Roger Michel, who did recently
ruin My Cousin Rachel which could've been a marvellous movie,
BLACKBIRD will see Diane playing a a terminally ill mother who brings
her family together for one last weekend before she commits suicide.
Winslet, who is currently shooting new Avatar sequels, and Wasikowsa
will, of course, play her daughters.

whose youngest daughter is kidnapped during a family holiday. Evidence
turns up in an abandoned shack to suggest she was murdered, which
stymies the case. But then, four years later, he receives a note,
apparently from God (OctaviaSpencer), inviting him to go back to the ruined building. He
accepts, against his better judgement, and what he finds there changes
his life forever. The long awaited movie isn't coming out any time soon, since it is scheduled for March next spring.

Hallow's Eve is closing up and with it the airing date of BBC Two's new TV movie THE DRESSER with Ian McKellen and Anthony Hopkins, which will also air later at Starz! The two of them are working together for the first time in the movie based on the famous play which tells the story of one fateful night in a small regional theatre during World War Two as a troupe of touring actors stage a production of Shakespeare’s King Lear. Bombs are falling, the sirens are wailing, the curtain is up in an hour but the actor Sir who is playing Lear is nowhere to be seen. His dresser Norman must scramble to keep the production alive but will Sir turn up in time and if he does will he be able to perform that night? Emily Watson is also in the cast!

now it seems she will get a whole new comedy series on her own too

DeGeneres and NBC will develop new sitcom KATE ON LATER in which she
will play a woman who thought her day job was all her life would amount
to when an opportunity arises that’s bigger than she ever dreamed
possible. But that opportunity means she’s going to have to break one of
the last remaining glass ceilings — the world of late-night network
television talk shows. 'WALKING DEAD' SPINOFF CASTS FRANK DILANE & ALYCIA DEBNAM Although THE WALKING DEAD has
been ruined losing all direction and sense, if you ask me, in the fifth
season, its spinoff series is being prepared over at AMC with the story
taking place during the same zombie apocalypse but in a different place
following male divorced teacher and a female guidance counsellor. The
first actors to be cast are Frank Dillane, who will play the woman's drug using son, and Alycia Debnam Carey as her ambitious daughter.
