The discovery sends shockwaves through the community, reviving the ghost of an unsolved cold case that rocked the town three years prior – the disappear- ance of Jackie’s niece, Nessa, which cost her career. Cefin’s death summons Jackie’s former partner, Detective Eric Bull (Rafe Spall), back to Morfa Halen to lead the investigation into a community he failed once before. Convinced the cases are linked, Jackie and  Bull must reconcile and race to uncover long-buried secrets inside Morfa, before the storm breaks and all the evidence is gone for good. ITV has unveiled lead cast for their new six part thriller series THE KILLER to be headlined by Laura Donnelly, Mark Rowley, Emun Elliott and Helen Baxendale. When the body of a young man is found eerily staged in the idyllic Scottish wilderness, Detective Monica Kennedy fears this is the beginning of a terrifying campaign that will strike at the heart of a rural community. As paranoia rises, suspicions and secrets are forced into the light, and the locals start to realize there is a serial killer hidden amongst them. It is an adaptation of GR Halliday’s novel From the Shadows.

But GHQ have cast doubt over the future of the regiment, while the creation of a second unit and an influx of new arrivals make things even more difficult for the men. Can they prove that the SAS remain essential to the war, wherever it may lead them?

Gwilym Lee joins the cast as Bill Stirling, David Stirling’s brother and founder of the 2SAS regiment, while Con O’Neill appears as General Montgomery.
