A tale about the power of family and freedom of expression through music, it follows Wirral, a teenage squirrel who embarks on an extraordinary journey to set music free, after accidentally sparks a revolution against Gretsch, the bossy diva-owl who has banned all music from his town.

CHRIS PINE TO RUN THE NIGHT

Chris Pine will be full nekkid leading the cast in new thriller movie RUN THE NIGHT as a banker, accused of betraying the Dutch mob, who is dumped naked in the heart of Amsterdam with a $10 million bounty on his head. Hunted by the city’s most violent gangs, he must fight his way across the city by dawn to save the lives of his wife and child — revealing he was never just the money guy.

Matthias Schoenaerts will take the lead

in German occupied Belgium in November 1943, the drama revolves around Belgian daily newspaper Le Soir, which came under Nazi Germany’s control following its invasion of the country in 1940. Its daily offering of German propaganda resulted in it being nicknamed Le Soir Volé (The Stolen Soir). In the face of acute danger if they were caught in the act, Belgian resistance group the Independent Front published a spoof edition, satirizing the German occupiers and their propaganda-controlled newspaper, which came to be known as the Le Faux Soir (The False Soir).

TO LEAD LE FAUX SOIR MOVIE

While you are enjoying his Django series which launched last week, Matthias Schoenaerts has just scored a lead role in LE FAUX SOIR WW2 movie drama according to Screen Daily!  Set in 1943, it tells the story of when the Belgian resistance secretly produced a spoof version of the country’s leading newspaper, Le Soir, which had become a propaganda tool of the occupying Nazi forces. He will play Belgian resistance hero in the movie directed by Michael R. Roskam.

The book will be adapted into series

novel PARIS INTERZONE into mini TV series. As Variety reports, the ambitious series, which William Boyd is writing and is being co-produced by Ian Benson, will shed light on a counterintelligence program that was launched by the CIA and operated by a secret unit within the American embassy in Paris. Their mission was to infiltrate the literary cafes of the Left Bank in Paris and spy on expat American artists and authors. At that time in the U.S., under the McCarthy era, many authors, especially black and gay ones, were oppressed and jailed. The series will be a modern, glamorous noir thriller laced with a love triangle between a French editor and two American characters.
