In 2093, in hopes of making contact with a mysterious alien life at the edge of our solar system, a group of maverick scientists and a powerful telepath embark on an expedition aboard The NIGHTFLYER. Beside A Suitable Boy and Black Narcissus at BBC (whoseOrdeal By Innocence has been just set for Easter Sunday), it seems we are getting a new India set series at ITV too after their Indian Summer saga.
Viceroy's House's Gurinder Chadha will helm the six part 19th century
saga BEECHAM HOUSE about a handsome and soulful former soldier, John
Beecham, who has acquired the Delhi house to start a new life for his
family and a business as a trader. Wealthy and distinguished, John has
witnessed profiteering and exploitation during his time with the
controlling East India Company and appears haunted by his past.
Determined to escape that life, he sets his sights on becoming an
honourable member of the region’s trading community.
But in the glorious setting of BEECHAM HOUSE, John’s life remains
shrouded in mystery. His arrival provokes gossip amongst the servants
and despite filling his residence with relatives and friends, Beecham’s
house still has dark corners that crackle with conspiracy and sinister
intent. The story also unfolds at a time when the 1,000 year old Mughal
rule is over and the British vie with the Maharajas to claim India as
their own.

If you grew up on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales such as The Snow Queen, The Little Mermaid or The Ugly Duckling, you will be happy to hear that Fox 2000 is planning a musical movie about him starring Ansel Elgort!
The musical fantasy will feature original music from Wicked's Stephen
Schwartz and will, as 'Deadline' reports, follow Andersen who as a
young man gets trapped in a world of his own imagination. As he searches
for a way back to reality, he comes face-to-face with characters from
his own fairy tales, nearly all of whom try to trap him in their world
forever. The project is planned as a potential musical movie franchise.
Life of Pi's David Magee is penning the script! The studio apparently
paid a seven digit sum for the pitch.
FIRST 'YELLOWSTONE' TEASER
STARRING KEVIN COSTNER!
Yellowstone starts this summer June 20th
Paramount Network has released first teaser for their June 2018 series YELLOWSTONE which boasts a rather stellar cast Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, Dave Annable, Danny Huston, Josh Lucas, Gretchen Mol...
It follows John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in
USA, under constant attack by those it borders — land developers, an
Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park. It is an intense
study of a violent world far from media scrutiny where land grabs make
developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world’s
largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by
fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence
of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen
through the eyes of a family that represents both.
I reported earlier last year that George R.R. Martin's novella NIGHTFLYERS is to be made into a TV series, but now SyFy has revealed the cast and it is rather magnificent! The series, which will be aired around the world by Netflix, follows eight scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on an expedition to the edge of the solar system aboard The Nightflyer in the hope of making contact with alien life. But when terrifying and violent events begin to take place they start to question each other and surviving the journey proves harder than anyone thought.
It has been revealed today that Gretchen Mol will star as Dr. Agatha
Matheson, alongside Eoin Macken as Karl D’Branin, David Ajala as Roy
Eris, Sam Strike as Thale, Maya Eshet as Lommie, Angus Sampson as Rowan,
Jodie Turner-Smith as Melantha Jhirl and BrÃan F. O’Byrne as Auggie.
The series will be shot in Ireland.
