BBC has unveiled cast and first two images from their Enid Blyton adaptation THE FAMOUS FIVE which follows five daring young explorers as they encounter treacherous, action-packed adventures, remarkable mysteries, unparalleled danger, and astounding secrets in an unforgettable odyssey that evokes the power of camaraderie between the fearless young heroes.Diaana Babnicova plays the role of George, alongside Elliott Rose as Julian, Kit Rakusen as Dick, Flora Jacoby Richardson as Anne. Joining the five are Jack Gleeson as Wentworth, Ann Akinjirin as Fanny, James Lance as Quentin and Diana Quick as Mrs Wentworth.

Pathe has released the first trailer and poster for their upcoming movie drama THE GREAT ESCAPER with Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson in the last role of her life. Kane plays a veteran of the D-Day Landings seeks closure in the upcoming drama feature. 

 

  THIS MOVING DRAMA 

 follows veteran Bernard Jordan as he snuck out of his care home in order to go back to Normandy, where 70 years earlier he had bravely stormed the beaches as part of the D-Day Landings. Glenda Jackson plays his loving wife Rene who completely understood the closure he required, but was not well enough to accompany him personally. The two of them starred together in another movie but more than fifty years earlier! Directed by Oliver Parker it should hit British cinemas October 6th!
