Sky has released trailer for their new October 16th TV series THE IRIS AFFAIR with Niamh Algar and Tom Hollander leading the sun drenched thriller which also stars Harry Lloyd, Kristofer Hivju, Debi Mazar. When enigmatic genius Iris Nixon (Algar) cracks a string of complex online puzzles, she’s led to a piazza in Florence where she meets charismatic entrepreneur Cameron Beck (Hollander). He invites her to come and work forhim to unlock a powerful and top-secret piece of technology. Her curiosity piqued, she accepts. But when Iris discovers its dangerous potential, she steals the journal containing the device’s activation sequence and vanishes. Whatfollows is a relentless pursuit, from a remote cabin in Sardinia through the bustling streets of Rome, as Cameron races to find Iris in a high-stakes game where trust is dangerous and failure could be catastrophic.

Australian broadcaster ABC has released first trailer for their new series LADIES IN BLACK a six part drama with Debi Mazar, Miranda Otto, and Jessica De Gouw as a group of women who fling open their shop doors to the fabulous 60s!  It starts airing June 16th.

FOLLOWING ON FROM THE 2018

film of the same name and drawing inspiration from the much-loved 1993 novel, the series takes place six months after the events of the original story, where amidst this backdrop of major societal shifts, the women embracing more freedom and independence are forced to confront personal choices and challenges which cast shadows over their once cherished dreams.

SEASON THREE CONFIRMED

After huge success of the first season and then great ratings with the second one, best Australian series in last decade THE NEWSREADER is officially getting a third season as well on ABC and on BBC in UK. Starring Sam Red and Anna Torv as the stars of News at Six, the six-part third installment will continue digging behind the indelible images of the 1980s for a compelling, intimate, vital look at an era of great change! The third season will be getting a share of $10 million funding from Screen Australia!

  LADIES IN BLACK TV SERIES

Ladies in Black will have six episodes

It is interesting that part of that massive funding will also go to the new TV series adaptation of Madeleine St John's best selling book The Woman in Black which was previously already adapted into a film with Juliette Binoche back in 2018. The series will be called LADIES IN BLACK and will be telling the story of a group of department store employees in 1959 Sydney. It is set primarily during the Christmas rush period when young school leaver, Lisa, joins the women. The six part series, also done for ABC, will see the women enter the sixties. Miranda Otto, Debi Mazar, Jessica de Gouw lead the cast of the brand new series shot last winter in Australia.
