Netflix is trying it seems to create their own Ted Lasso style series and their latest effort in that field is new comedy series RUNNING POINT set in the world of basketball with Kate Hudson in the lead role. The ten episodes that will be available for streaming February 27th also have Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, and two insanely hot hunks Chet Hanks and Jay Ellis in the cast.  WHAT'S THE STORY?

When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job. Max Greenfield and Justin Theroux are some of the names that will guest star in some of the episodes.

The epic TV treat of the day are news coming from Amazon who are developing an epic series on CONAN The Barbarian based on Robert E. Howard's famous comic books! The series comes from Ryan Condal, Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik and Handmaid's Tale producer Warren Littlefield.

Returning to the original story from the comic books, CONAN will see the title epic hero driven out of his tribal homelands and wandering the mysterious and treacherous world of civilization where he searches for purpose in a place that rejects him as a mindless savage. As you know, Amazon has recently paid massive bucks for Lord of the Rings TV series rights and is obviously venturing into epic fantasy waters.

Meanwhile, if you are looking forward to the return of everybody's favourite hip hop soap opera EMPIRE at Fox March 28th, you can also look forward to two new hunks in the cast! The return of the fourth season will see Lucious (Terrence Howard) in a Misery scenario when Demi Moore locks him up in a wood cabin and Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) will come to his rescue. Two new faces joining the season as new rappers are Kade Wise (who will attract Jamal Lyon’s, played by Jussie Smollett, musical interest) and Tom's hunky son Chet Hanks (who will play Blake, a blue-collar rapper, a skilled MC and
