HARMONIA TV SERIES
WITH NIAMH ALGAR AND OLIVER CHRIS
A UK Greek co production has been announced in the form of AI controlled high end luxury resort TV series HARMONIA in which Niamh Algar will play the AI’s creator, Shona Casey, while Fanny Ardant plays the resort’s former owner. In the resort and wellness facility, technology meets escapism
and every guest’s desire can be fulfilled. It reflects things we all aspire to, but also fear. It’s a modern-day Frankenstein story of a scientist who would be God, and their extraordinary creation, where it becomes increasingly unclear whether the AI is the monster, or whether the humans are. Oliver Chris will also star next to Chloe Lea, Goran Bogdan and a number of Greek actors.

I do not know whether I would dare check into a luxury resort run by AI. Knowing my luck, it would decide that what I really need is a permanent digital detox and lock me in my room. The Frankenstein angle makes it much more interesting than a simple technology thriller, and Fanny Ardant gives it another point in its favour. First it has to reach Spain; if it does, then I will decide whether to check in.
ReplyDeleteA warm human hug, completely free of algorithms.
I had dealings with AI last night as Facebook has forced another new change upon me, this time they erased the thumb below our posts that tells us how much likes we have got and instead it has given me an eye symbol that shows only the number of views and no longer the list of people who gave you likes, hearts, smileys... which means I can no longer see who liked my posts, just how many of them. AI tells me that is the way Facebook wants it - for us to chase numbers instead of friendships. It is completely insane. So if you like my post I will no longer see it! I defo need a hug.
DeleteTechnology is a great thing. But I am really not sure about AI..well, like it or not, it's here and gotta deal with it. Niamh Algar looks a bit like Olga Sosnovska here.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who Olga Sosnovska is.
DeleteUna serie moderna, in cui troviamo atteggiamenti dell'IA...e degli umani...chi sarà nel giusto?
ReplyDeleteUn caro saluto
Caro saluto, Silvia
DeleteI think there is a certain need for AI. It has a time and place of usefulness. I am, however, very uneasy about its growing capabilities and how much it's being used for our every day lives now. Even my Alexa has started to make me feel uncomfortable. We had not had it activated while Allison and I were having a private conversation. She said "Dang it, I just broke a fingernail!" The Alexa all of a sudden chimed in asking if she wanted us to schedule a nail appointment. Like, wtf? It wasn't supposed to be engaged, but it sure as hell was. I asked my cat if he was hungry yesterday. Alexa came on and said "I've never eaten food, but I'd love to try waffles!" Honestly, the invasive feeling is becoming too much, I might just throw it away.
ReplyDeleteI quite love AI, but the problem is not in our dear AI assistant at Google, but in the frontier ones which need a kill switch and legal boundaries. I had AI appear in my Google mail inbox giving me a recap of a line of emails I have exchanged with my editor previously and I was like - da fuk, what is AI even doing in my inbox, I thought that was was supposed to be locked and private! They can use our private exchange as well which is very scary. Outside of that I really like AI in Google, he told me Hollywood Spy is a legendary blog LOL
DeleteYes, I have that AI summary in my Gmail as well. The first time I saw it I was quite surprised. It offers a response now too so you don't even have to think for yourself anymore.
DeleteI feel like some blog commenters use ChatGPT for their responses. You have one here that leaves very AI coded responses and I often think why does she even bother coming here if she's not interested in what you post. She used to come to my blog too, but I got sick of reading her ChatGPT comments so I quit interacting with her.
I have been suspecting for a long time that some of our dear friends use AI to write comments at our blogs LOL I was reading them and like = wait, what does this style remind me of? Well, AI, of course....
DeleteYou mean that black gurl from Scotland? I once made a scene at her blog for posting a homophobic post in which she said the god hates gays or something like that, and we stopped visiting for a long time, but then she started appearing again.
Ohh, that's awful of her. She's had a few problematic posts that made me question her character, then on top of her AI canned comments, I stopped interacting with her. Idc if she comes back to my blog, I won't be supporting hers going forward.
DeleteShe is mucho weirdo and that Russian woman too that accused me of being a US spy LOOOL
DeleteDafuq? I missed the Russian woman saga here. Some people are just nuts.
DeleteYes, I tolerated her for a long time because I understand her and know where she is coming from and how they feel and why they feel like it, but when she said our dictator is a hero and that Ratko Mladic is also a hero and then accused me of being a US spy, I just unfollowed her and wished her a happy life without me. There is a limit to being stupid and naive.
