BRANDON SKLENAR
TO LEAD THE OLYMPIAN MOVIE
And it will be a true story! As Deadline writes, our dear Brandon Sklenar will take the lead in THE OLYMPIAN from director Tony Tost.
The story will follow Brad Alan Lewis, a blue collar, California outsider, who after losing the Singles trial, is cut from the Ivy League dominated Olympic camp. With time running out, he teams up with a fisherman from Seattle, beats the camp selected boat at the national trials, and goes on to win a gold medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Pic will follow Brad’s journey and contentious relationship with the Olympic team coach, ultimately winning the US its first gold medal in rowing in 50 years.

That sounds like it would be interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt could be.
DeleteI love true stories like this. Reminds you that you can always make a come back and come out on top!
ReplyDeleteTis an American dream.
DeleteThat's cool. I love inspiring true stories like this. We were trying to watch a holiday movie yesterday, but it was so dumb that we stopped after 10 minutes...so we decided that we are going to give Downton Abbey another try since my husband likes some of the actors there.
ReplyDeleteI could not take Downton for more than one season, I found it dull and snobbish with unlikable characters.
DeleteNormally, I would have found something like Downton dull too, and admittedly it was, but something about it sucked me in and I was hooked. I still haven't watched the movies that came after the series though.
DeleteHope you will like them, I never watched it pass the first season.
