have the trailer from it! It has been breaking viewing records for
three years now both in Germany and in 120 other territories around the world and now SISI epic TV series on famous Austrian empress is ending this winter with the final, fourth season! Dominique Devenport and Jannik
Schümann take over the roles of Sisi and Franz again. First two episodes will stream December 1st, the following two December 8th and the final ones December 15th on RTL+.

THE PLOT OF SEASON FOUR BEGINS
After her father's death, Sisi challenges Bavaria's best jockey to a big horse race in order to save the family estate Possenhofen Castle. While she trains for the race and breaks her promise to Franz, she soon comes across mysterious family secrets. Sisi's eldest brother Louis has to choose between love and career in the face of new responsibilities and the youngest sister Sophie Charlotte has a crush on the disreputable King Ludwig..

as little sister Sophie Charlotte, our dear Klaus Steinbacher as Jockey Georg
Basselet von La Rosée, Gustav Schmidt as King Ludwig II and Antonia
Moretti as Henriette Mendel. Shooting was done in Riga, Vilnius, Croatia and Slovenia. After streaming on RTL+ it will also air on linear RTL around Europe for Christmas. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think.

DeleteI still think of Romy Schneider as Sisi (showing my age) though you said once that Romy's portrayal was a lot nicer than real life Sisi.
ReplyDeleteYes, those films portrayed her in a fully positive way like some innocent, kind, cheerful prinzessin, but in truth she was a drug using, extremely vain, snobbish and cold person and a godawful mother, actually she was such a terrible mother that her son killed himself. She and her husband basically are the main causes of WW1 later on with their imperialism and hunger for power.
DeleteAnd the real Sisi was not a looker despite her vanity. Ugly inside and out, she was.
ReplyDeleteQuite right, the whole family of Hapbsburg was fugly, unlike the Romanovs who were real stunners, all tall and blond and handsome.
