DEPARTMENT Q SERIES
MATTHEW GOODE TO LEAD AT NETFLIX
Arriving sometime next year to Netflix is eight part series DEPARTMENT Q based on the novels by Jussi Adler-Olsen. The story revolves around Carl Morck, a former top-rated detective in Edinburgh assigned to a new cold case whilst wracked with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralysed and another policeman dead. Carl Morck tackles the cold case while turning an Edinburgh basement office space into a well-oiled machine full of misfit officers dedicated to cracking whatever seemingly impossible cases come across their desks. Matthew Goode will lead the cast as Carl, Chloe Pirri will play a ruthless and ambitious prosecutor, Kelly MacDonald will play a police therapist, Mark Bonnar, our lovely Jack Greenlees, Clive Russell, Alexey Manvelov are just some of the names in a long list of the actors that will star in it.
I only recognize the guy at the left, but can't remember his name. Anyway, I like detective stories and it's on Netflix, definitely going to watch it. Wonder what Q stands for...
ReplyDeleteThat is our lovely Mark Bonnar, and you also know the one in the middle, Matthew Goode from Discovery of Witches and Downton Abbey. The third guy, my boo, Greenless we watched in Harlots.
DeleteI tried so hard to get into Harlots, and just couldn't. I liked the idea, but the whole thing just fell really flat for me.
DeleteNobody was very likeable in it, but they had gorgeous hunks in it, I remember that the end was stupid.
DeleteI'd probably be a misfit detective, myself. But I'd probably never crack a case because I'd grow bored with one after a day or two and want something new to capture my attention.
ReplyDeleteCriminals just tire me too much, I don't even read crime pages in newspapers.
