And you probably will not recognise him: Pierce Brosnan has been transformed into an old man in THE LAST RIFLEMAN movie from Sky. In the story inspired by real-life World War II veteran Bernard Jordan, who escaped from his care home and made his way to Normandy to attend the 70th anniversary events in 2014, Brosnan plays the 89-year-old World War II hero Artie Crawford, who secretly leaves his care home in Northern Ireland in order to travel to France and pay his final respects on the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. In case you were wondering, Pierce Brosnan is 70. Directed by Terry Loane, the film also stars Desmond Eastwood, Louis Gossett Jr and Claire Rafferty. Netflix has released a trailer for their July 7th action comedy movie THE OUT-LAWS which follows Owen Browning (Adam Devine) a straight-laced bank manager about to marry the love of his life, Parker (Nina Dobrev). When his bank is held up by the infamous Ghost Bandits during his wedding week, he believes his future in-laws (Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin) who just arrived in town, are the infamous Out-Laws. First story is set in the 1800s, impoverished Raymond meets a mysterious benefactor who promises to restore both him and his family to their former status. And you must admit, it is a highly unusual and unexpected pairing: as Deadline reports, they will star in a Joel Hopkins' romantic comedy (which he is both writing and directing) exploring the true story of the 1914 West End production of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion.
